Alma came to us from a municipal kennel in Loures, where we know she spent several months. We don’t know much about her past, but it’s very likely that she was found on the street, as is the case with so many other dogs. She’s a very sweet and gentle female dog, both toward people and other dogs. However, she’s quite shy around strangers and easily gets startled. She needs time to build trust and feel safe. In March 2026, she was briefly adopted, but returned to the shelter just a few months later. Life in an apartment proved too stressful for her. She didn’t like being left alone, and walks on busy streets made her very anxious. Alma walks beautifully on a leash, but we believe she’d be much happier in a quiet area—preferably in a house with a garden, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. She’s a truly lovely dog who deserves a patient, understanding family willing to respect her pace. Gaining confidence and overcoming her past fears will be a gradual process, but we’re certain that once she feels truly secure, she’ll reveal herself as the wonderful companion she truly is. She’ll be given up vaccinated, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped.

A Alma chegou até nós proveniente de um canil municipal em Loures, onde sabemos que passou vários meses. Do seu passado pouco sabemos, mas é muito provável que tenha sido encontrada na rua, como acontece com tantos outros cães. É uma cadela muito meiga e gentil, tanto com pessoas como com outros cães. A Alma passeia muito bem à trela, mas acreditamos que será muito mais feliz numa zona tranquila, de preferência numa casa com jardim, longe da agitação da cidade. É uma cadela muito doce que merece uma família paciente, compreensiva e disposta a respeitar o seu ritmo. Ganhar confiança e ultrapassar os medos do passado será um processo gradual, mas temos a certeza de que, quando se sentir verdadeiramente segura, irá revelar toda a maravilhosa companheira que é. Será entregue vacinada, desparasitada, esterilizada e com microchip.
