Arco & Billy are looking for a new home Together, life can change in an instant... Due to the unexpected death of their owner, Arco & Billy ended up with us. Two dogs with very different personalities, but with one important thing in common: each other. That's why we're looking for a warm home for them where they can find their place together again. Arco is 3 years old and a mixed breed Australian Shepherd. He is the sensitive soul of the two. New people, unfamiliar situations and crowds can make him quite uncertain. He will take some time to get to know visitors before asking for hugs. But give Arco time... as soon as you become a familiar face to him, you'll see a completely different dog. His regular caregivers recognize him immediately and with them, his social and sweet side comes out completely. He walks well on a leash here, as long as he can enjoy a quiet, rural environment. Busy villages, squares and a lot of stimuli? Arco will not be happy with that. And then there's Billy... Billy is almost the opposite. A spontaneous, self-confident and cheerful guy who is always ready for some action. Play? He's happy! Walk? Always! Do something together? Billy is probably already at the door before you have your shoes on. For these two, we are looking for a quiet home, preferably with a garden, where Arco gets the time and space to get used to his own pace. A family with young children seems less suitable to us. Not because Arco is aggressive (on the contrary) but because we wonder if he would be able to find enough rest in all the hustle and bustle. Who will give Arco the time to grow his trust? Arco & Billy zoeken samen een nieuwe thuis Soms verandert het leven van de ene dag op de andere… Door het onverwachte overlijden van hun baasje kwamen Arco & Billy bij ons terecht. Twee honden met elk een heel ander karakter, maar met één belangrijk ding gemeen: elkaar. Daarom gaan we voor hen op zoek naar een warme thuis waar ze samen opnieuw hun plekje mogen vinden. Arco is 3 jaar oud en een kruising Australische herder. Hij is de gevoelige ziel van de twee. Nieuwe mensen, onbekende situaties en drukte kunnen hem behoorlijk onzeker maken. Bij bezoekers zal hij eerder wat afstand nemen dan meteen om knuffels komen vragen. Maar geef Arco tijd… want zodra je een vertrouwd gezicht voor hem wordt, krijg je een heel andere hond te zien. Zijn vaste verzorgers herkent hij meteen en bij hen komt zijn sociale en lieve kant helemaal naar boven. Wandelen aan de leiband doet hij hier goed, zolang hij kan genieten van een rustige, landelijke omgeving. Drukke dorpen, pleinen en veel prikkels? Daar maak je Arco absoluut geen plezier mee. En dan hebben we Billy… Billy is zowat het tegenovergestelde. Een spontane, zelfzekere en vrolijke kerel die altijd klaarstaat voor wat actie. Spelen? Graag! Wandelen? Altijd! Samen iets ondernemen? Billy staat waarschijnlijk al aan de deur voordat jij je schoenen aan hebt. Voor deze twee zoeken we een rustige thuis, bij voorkeur met een tuin, waar vooral Arco de tijd en ruimte krijgt om op zijn eigen tempo te wennen. Een gezin met jonge kinderen lijkt ons minder geschikt. Niet omdat Arco agressief is (integendeel) maar omdat we ons afvragen of hij tussen alle drukte voldoende rust zou kunnen vinden. Wie geeft Arco de tijd om zijn vertrouwen te laten groeien? Wie biedt er Arco én zijn trouwe maatje Billy opnieuw de warme thuis? Denk je dat jouw thuis bij hen zou passen?
