Bernie came to us in terrible condition - numerous flea infestations and irritations meant that his belly had to be shaved. His back and other upper body parts were combed out until the end. The poor guy suffered for so long, he was like under a torture by his owners, yet neglected to the extreme... He has been under our supervision recently and we hope to find him a home soon where dog needs and grooming will be standard, not a forgotten activity. On June 28th Bernie was bathed and groomed by two volunteers who dedicated 5 hours to him - photos below show the dog after bathing.

Berni trafił do nas w strasznym stanie – liczne skupiska pcheł i podrażnienia sprawiły, że podbrzusze musieliśmy wygolić. Grzbiet i inne górne partie ciała były wyczesywane do skutku. Biedak męczył się tak wiele czasu, był niby pod pieką właścicieli, a jednak zaniedbany do granic możliwości… Od niedawna jest pod naszym nadzorem i mamy nadzieję, że w niedługim czasie znadziemy mu dom, w którym psie potrzeby i pielęgnacja będą standardem, a nie zapomnianą czynnością. 28 czerwca Berni został wykąpany i wypielęgnowany przez dwoje wolontariuszy, którzy poświęcili mu aż 5 godzin – zdjęcia poniżej przedstawiają psa po kąpieli.
