Burbon arrived at our animal shelter in the Suchy Las municipality. He is a young dog who unfortunately has already experienced too much at the start of his life. In the home he came from, there was a "heavy hand" - and such things stay with the dog for a long time. At first glance, Burbon seems to very much want contact with a human. He seeks closeness, approaches, and observes. But throughout this relationship, tension is always present - as if he is waiting for what will happen next. And it’s hard not to understand why. Over time, we learn more about him. In home conditions, Burbon never left his kennel cage - it was his only "safe zone." This shows how much he lacks a sense of security beyond a closed space. Upon exiting the cage, his behavior can be unpredictable. In situations that overwhelm him, he reacts impulsively and defensively. This is not malice - it is fear and a lack of skills to deal with emotions. Burbon definitely does not tolerate other dogs. Upon seeing them, he reacts with strong aggression and charges towards them. Therefore, we are looking for a home for him without other animals - this is an absolute condition. He knows basic commands, but pressure and demands are still difficult for him. It’s clear that he could have been punished for them in the past. Today, he needs a completely different approach - a calm, predictable one, and one based on building trust. This is a dog for someone aware, patient, and experienced, who is not afraid of difficult moments and does not expect quick results. We are looking for a home for Burbon: a person with experience working with problem dogs, ready to work with him at his own pace. Burbon needs someone who will be a calm guide for him and show him that the world does not have to be a threat. If someone gives him this chance, he may not become an "easy" dog. But he has the chance to become a loyal, strongly bonded dog with his human. One that, in the end, will feel safe. This animal needs to be the only pet in the home.

Burbon trafił do naszego schroniska z gminy Suchy Las. Jest młodym psem, który niestety już na starcie życia doświadczył zbyt wiele. W domu, z którego pochodził, panowała „ciężka ręka” - a takie rzeczy zostają z psem na długo. Na pierwszy rzut oka Burbon bardzo chce kontaktu z człowiekiem. Szuka bliskości, podchodzi, obserwuje. Ale w tej relacji cały czas obecne jest napięcie - jakby czekał, co wydarzy się dalej. I trudno mu się dziwić. Po czasie wiemy o nim więcej. W warunkach domowych Burbon nie opuszczał klatki kennelowej - była jego jedyną „bezpieczną strefą”. To pokazuje, jak bardzo brakuje mu poczucia pewności poza zamkniętą przestrzenią. Po wyjściu z boksu jego zachowanie bywa nieprzewidywalne. W sytuacjach, które go przerastają, reaguje impulsywnie i obronnie. To nie jest złośliwość - to strach i brak umiejętności radzenia sobie z emocjami. Burbon zdecydowanie nie toleruje innych psów. Na ich widok reaguje silną agresją i rzuca się w ich kierunku. Dlatego szukamy dla niego domu bez innych zwierząt - to absolutny warunek. Zna podstawowe komendy, ale presja i wymagania wciąż są dla niego trudne. Widać, że kiedyś mógł być za nie karany. Dziś potrzebuje zupełnie innego podejścia - spokojnego, przewidywalnego i opartego na budowaniu zaufania. To pies dla osoby świadomej, cierpliwej i doświadczonej, która nie przestraszy się trudnych momentów i nie będzie oczekiwać szybkich efektów. Szukamy dla Burbona domu: u osoby z doświadczeniem w pracy z psami problemowymi gotowej pracować z nim w jego tempie Burbon potrzebuje kogoś, kto będzie dla niego spokojnym przewodnikiem i pokaże mu, że świat nie musi być zagrożeniem. Jeśli ktoś da mu tę szansę - może nie stanie się „łatwym” psem. Ale ma szansę stać się psem lojalnym, silnie związanym ze swoim człowiekiem. Takim, który w końcu poczuje się bezpiecznie.
