Support and Health How much training will I need? Needs some support Can I be left alone? Potentially, once settled Candi is partially sighted and Ash is blind, therefore it takes them longer to get used to their surroundings and feel settled. Any home alone time should only be started once they have had the time to get comfortable in their new environment. Do I have any medical conditions? Existing conditions Candi has historic and current medical conditions, namely Patellar luxation (has been corrected), benign mass (removed) and Cataracts, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Ash has a current medical condition, namely Cataracts, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home. Who I can live with Can I live with dogs? No Can I live with cats? No Can I live with small pets? Yes, conditionally - Potentially, if securely housed and kept separate. Additional information Candi and Ash are best buddies and prefer the company of each other, rather than other dogs. Therefore they will need to be the only dogs in the home. This is in part due to Ash being blind and uncomfortable with the presence of other animals. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? We feel that Candi and Ash would prefer a calmer household. If there are children they should be slightly older (aged 8+). What type of environment would suit me? Candi and Ash will need a secure garden so that they can safely explore the outside in their own time, especially as they progress through their senior years.
