Candy Cane is my name! And yes, I know... with my special copper-brown, reddish fur I stand out quite a bit. My foster family calls me a real beauty. During their stay in our shelter, we make a profile for ourselves, but also for the animal. This includes: character, health, necessary living conditions and specific needs. In this way, we can give the animals the best care and we also know what the animal needs in its new home. The first intake for a kitten or cat takes place by means of a telephone conversation. We then ask you 'the shirt of the body' so that we can make the right match.

Hoi, ik ben Candy Cane! En ja, ik weet het… met mijn bijzondere koperbruine, roodachtige vacht val ik behoorlijk op. Mijn opvanggezin noemt me dan ook een echte beauty. Gelukkig ben ik niet alleen maar mooi: ik heb ook een flinke dosis karakter! Ik ben namelijk een echte ontdekkingsreiziger. Als er ergens iets nieuws te beleven valt, ben ik er als eerste bij. Nieuwe plek? Even kijken. Speeltje? Meteen eropaf. Een paal om in te klimmen? Daar kom ik graag bovenop! Eigenlijk zie ik overal wel een avontuur in. Bang aangelegd ben ik dus zeker niet. Ik vind het juist heerlijk als er van alles om me heen gebeurt. Mensen, andere katten, speelgoed en gezelligheid: hoe meer leven in de brouwerij, hoe beter! Ik ben dus op zoek naar een thuis waar ik lekker mag ontdekken, spelen en natuurlijk volop aandacht krijg. Er wordt gekeken naar wat je te bieden hebt en of dat past bij het dier. Zo komt elk dier binnen met een eigen verhaal. Gedurende het verblijf in ons asiel brengen we voor onszelf, maar ook voor het dier, een profiel in kaart. Hierbij is te denken aan: karakter, gezondheid, nodige leefomstandigheden en specifieke behoeften. Op deze manier kunnen wij de dieren de beste zorg geven en weten wij ook wat het dier nodig heeft in zijn nieuwe huis. De eerste intake voor een kitten of kat gebeurt door het voeren van een telefoongesprek. We vragen je dan ook ‘de hemd van het lijf’ zodat we de juiste match kunnen maken.
