With her brown-and-white spotted, cuddly-soft fur, she looks like a stuffed animal. Our animal rescuer Meda found her alone on a parking lot, but instead of being afraid, she ran full of joy to her car – a sign of her friendly and fearless nature. Dixie will remain a small female dog and is the perfect companion for all who want a superloving, gentle, and cheerful dog in their life. She is not only friendly to people but also to other dogs, and is open-minded. Her behavior towards cats has not yet been tested. When Dixie moves into her new home, an exciting time begins, because Dixie still has a lot to learn. From house training, over "sit," "stay," and co. to being alone, it's all part of it. In the first year, puppies should be left alone as little as possible, which doesn't mean they shouldn't be trained step by step. At around six to twelve months old, Dixie will enter puberty. In this phase, she might suddenly not listen or forget what she has learned. This is not a tantrum, but a phase in which she is testing her limits. With lots of patience, love, consistent training, and a touch of humor, you will master this phase with flying colors. Dixie is looking forward to many adventures in nature and also attending puppy school. Of course, plenty of cuddle time is not to be missed. When Dixie embarks on her big journey, she is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Additionally, she has her EU pet passport in her luggage. Stand: 27.08. Ganz alleine fand unserer Tierschützerin Meda sie auf einem Parkplatz, doch anstatt ängstlich zu sein, rannte sie voller Freude auf ihr Auto zu – ein Zeichen für ihr freundliches und unerschrockenes Wesen. Dixie wird eine kleine Hündin bleiben und ist die perfekte Begleiterin für alle, die einen superlieben, sanften und fröhlichen Hund in ihrem Leben möchten. Sie ist nicht nur zu Menschen, sondern auch zu anderen Hunden, nett und aufgeschlossen. Ihr Verhalten gegenüber Katzen konnte bisher noch nicht getestet werden. Wenn Dixie in ihr neues Zuhause zieht, beginnt eine spannende Zeit, denn Dixie muss noch viel lernen. Von der Stubenreinheit, über „Sitz“, „Platz“ und Co. bis hin zum Alleine bleiben ist alles dabei. Im ersten Lebensjahr sollten Welpen aber so wenig wie möglich alleine sein, was nicht heißt, dass man es nicht Schritt für Schritt antrainieren sollte. Im Alter von etwa sechs bis zwölf Monaten wird Dixie in die Pubertät kommen. In dieser Phase kann es vorkommen, dass sie dich plötzlich nicht mehr hört oder Gelerntes wieder vergisst. Das ist kein Trotz, sondern nur eine Phase, in der sie ihre Grenzen austestet. Mit viel Geduld, Liebe, einer konsequenten Erziehung und einer Prise Humor werdet ihr die Phase mit Bravour meistern. Dixie freut sich schon auf viele Abenteuer in der Natur und auch den Besuch in der Welpenschule. Genügend Kuschelstunden dürfen natürlich ebenfalls nicht fehlen. Wenn Dixie ihre große Reise antritt, ist sie geimpft, gechipt, entwurmt und entfloht. Außerdem hat sie ihren EU-Heimtierausweis im Gepäck. Nach positiver Vorkontrolle kann Dixie gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro in ihr neues Zuhause ziehen. Aber auch eine Pflegestelle wäre ein guter Start ins neue Leben.
