His story: Gerion has already been in his foster home for some time, and there is a lot to say about this beautiful white dog. The foster home is diligently working to earn Gerion's trust, and there are daily progress reports. He is a delicate, sensitive, and special canine soul who still has a lot to learn. He knew nothing except his pen, after all. Walking is absolutely a hit for him, and he also walks well on a leash; he is house-trained, rides in the car happily and without a problem, and lives in a mixed pack. However, in male dogs, it's the sympathy that decides, and he likes to claim food for himself, but this is no big problem to feed and continue working on it. He is cautious with people, still finds men very scary, and we are sure that he did not have good experiences with men earlier. Gerion is not a dog whose trust you have to earn, but he will return it in love doubled and tripled, he is a really great guy and is making good progress. We are looking for a quiet, rural home without children for Gerion, preferably with an existing first dog, but that is not a must. His people should have a lot of time, love, patience, and also experience with insecure, anxious dogs and should expect that a lot of training will be necessary until he settles in the new home again. Gerion is approximately 1.5 years old, about 60cm tall, and from the behavior, likely a herding dog mix. Currently, there are still a few examinations concerning his eyes, and we suspect that he does not see as well as a young dog should, but he is definitely not blind. For this short time, Gerion has really made great progress, and we wish for people who are ready to continue training him and spend a lot of time with him. Gerion is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated and brings his own EU pet passport. He is available as of positive status: 12.10.

Seine Geschichte: Gerion ist bereits einige Zeit in seiner Pflegestelle angekommen und es gibt so einiges über diese weiße Schönheit zu berichten. Die Pflegestelle arbeitet fleißig dran, das Vertrauen von Gerion zu gewinnen und es gibt täglich Fortschritte. Er ist eine zarte, sensible und besondere Hundeseele, die noch sehr viel lernen muss. Er kannte ja außer seinem Zwinger nicht besonders viel. Spazierengehen findet er absolut klasse und läuft auch super an der Leine, er ist stubenrein, fährt gerne und problemlos Auto und lebt in einem gemischten Rudel. Allerdings entscheidet bei Rüden die Sympathie, Fressen beansprucht er gerne für sich, allerdings ist dies ja kein großes Problem mit Abstand zu füttern und weiterhin daran zu arbeiten. Menschen gegenüber ist er vorsichtig, Männer findet er nach wie vor sehr gruselig und wir sind uns sicher, dass er mit Männern früher keine guten Erfahrungen machen durfte. Gerion ist kein Hund dessen Vertrauen man sich erst erarbeiten muss, allerdings wird er dies dann in Liebe doppelt und dreifach zurückgeben, er ist ein ganz toller und macht wirklich gute Fortschritte. Wir suchen für Gerion ein ruhiges, ländliches Zuhause ohne Kinder, gerne mit einem vorhandenem Erst Hund, ist aber kein Muss. Seine Menschen sollten viel Zeit, Liebe, Geduld und auch schon Erfahrung mit unsicheren, ängstlichen Hunden haben und damit rechnen, dass viel Training notwendig sein wird, bis er sich im neuen Zuhause auch wieder so gut einfindet. Gerion ist ca. 1,5 Jahre jung, ca. 60cm groß und vom Verhalten vermutlich ein Hütehundmischling. Aktuell gibt es noch ein paar Untersuchungen, die seine Augen betreffen, wir vermuten, dass er nicht ganz so gut sieht, wie es ein junger Hund sollte, aber er ist definitiv auch nicht blind. Für diese kurze Zeit hat Gerion wirklich schon super Fortschritte gemacht und wir wünschen uns Menschen, die bereit sind mit ihm weiterhin zu trainieren und viel zeit mit ihm zu verbringen. Gerion ist kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht und bringt seinen eigenen EU-Heimtierausweis mit. Er kann nach positiver Vorkontrolle gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro vermittelt werden und natürlich vorher auch in der Pflegestelle besucht werden. Stand: 12.10.2023
