Karma: Versele Laga Complete Cuni Junior—a balanced herbal blend. Diseases: Infectious rabbit coryza, also known as pasteurellosis, caused by the bacterium Pasteurella multocida. Goździk lived in the basement, in a small cage, with no human contact. Today, Goździk is an open and friendly rabbit who actively seeks interaction. She demands attention by standing right up against the bars of her cage. She loves being petted, and when a human spends more time in the room, she happily hops around her cage and goes to sleep with an impressive “flop” 🙂 Behaviorally, Goździk shouldn’t cause major problems; however, medical care will be more demanding. Coryza can recur, and antibiotic therapy aims to combat the symptoms caused by the bacteria and reduce its numbers in the body. Yet in most cases, the disease is chronic and incurable. Goździk needs a calm home that provides her with stability (stressful situations can trigger coryza relapses). She should live alone, without other pets, and socialization is possible only with another rabbit carrying the same bacterium—either one that has been successfully treated or confirmed as a carrier.

Goździk mieszkała w piwnicy, w małej klatce, bez kontaktu z człowiekiem. Aktualnie Goździk to już otwarty i chcący kontaktu króliczek. Domaga się uwagi stojąc przy kratkach klatki. Uwielbia mizianie, a przy dłuższym pobycie człowieka w salce, kica po klatce szczęśliwie i imponującym „flopem” idzie spać 🙂Goździk behawioralnie nie powinna sprawiać większych problemów, natomiast opieka medyczna będzie bardziej wymagająca. Katar może nawracać, antybiotykoterapia ma na celu zwalczanie objawów jakie wywołuje bakteria, zmniejsza jej liczbę w organizmie, ale w większości przypadków, choroba jest przewlekła i nieuleczalna. Goździk potrzebuje spokojnego domu dającego jej stabilność (stresowe sytuacje mogą przyspieszać nawroty kataru). Bez innych zwierząt, a zaprzyjaźnianie możliwe jest tylko z innym królikiem mającym tą samą bakterię (w stanie zaleczonym lub stwierdzonego nosicielstwa).
