Helge came to us in an unusual way. He was posted in the local community groups several times because he was wandering around the streets alone. One of our foster homes had seen him before, but thought he would belong to the people he was following, as he seemed so familiar with the situation. But one day, he simply came alone into the business where the foster home works. It was clear that he was likely a homeless stray, and we took him into our care so he wouldn’t have to continue wandering the streets. Maybe he came to us to seek help? Surely, the little guy doesn’t dream of living outside anymore, but of having his own family. We would like to help him find that! And hopefully, that shouldn’t be too difficult, because our Helge turns out to be a friendly, uncomplicated dog. He appears very balanced and is self-assured around people. And that’s not all: He also walks well on a leash, loves to be petted, and to earn his treats. We can imagine that Helge would fit into any family that wants to take in the cute guy! Whether he’s ever had a home before is uncertain. One should be prepared that he might have to get to know life in a household first and that the dog ABC is still unknown to him. But so people-friendly and cheerful as he is, it will definitely make him happy to learn what it takes to be a family dog with his people. A current only dog could serve as a point of reference for him. In the foster home, he gets along well with other dogs, so he wouldn’t have a problem with other fellow animals in the new home. And not only is his character friendly and uncomplicated, but also his size: At 40 cm shoulder height and 14 kg, he is an agreeable medium-sized dog. We estimate that Helge is about 1.5 years old. An exciting age, because the exciting phase of puberty is approaching. It’s normal for four-legged friends at this age to want to revisit and question the rules they’ve learned and to have a few silly ideas. Due to his friendly nature, the worst isn’t to be expected from Helge – and with treats or caresses, he will definitely be won over 😉. Currently, the handsome one has a scratch on his face. We don’t know what happened. Perhaps he hurt himself somewhere outside, because there are many dangers and obstacles on the street. But the wound isn’t deep and will certainly heal completely. With his carry-on luggage packed, Helge is now waiting to finally start his new life! He has his EU pet passport in his luggage and is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Adoption requirements: An existing only dog could serve as a reference for him. Seine Geschichte: Aufgepasst, hier kommt unser hübscher Helge! Helge kam auf etwas ungewöhnliche Art und Weise zu uns. Er wurde einige Male in den lokalen Ortsgruppen gepostet, weil er alleine in den Straßen herumwanderte. Eine unsere Pflegestellen hatte ihn einmal gesehen, aber dachte er würde zu den Leuten gehören, denen er hinterherlief, er wirkte so vertraut mit der Situation. Aber eines Tages kam er einfach allein in das Geschäft herein, in dem die Pflegestelle arbeitet. Da war klar, dass er wohl ein heimatloser Streuner ist und wir haben ihn in unsere Obhut genommen, damit er nicht weiter auf den Straßen herumirren muss. Vielleicht ist er ja zu uns gekommen, um Hilfe zu suchen? Sicher träumt der Bub davon nicht mehr draußen leben zu müssen, sondern eine eigene Familie zu haben. Wir möchten ihm gerne dabei helfen diese zu finden! Und das sollte hoffentlich nicht schwer sein, denn unser Helge zeigt sich als umgänglicher unkomplizierter Hund. Er wirkt sehr ausgeglichen und ist Menschen gegenüber selbstbewusst. Und damit noch nicht genug: Er geht auch gut an der Leine, liebt es Schmuseinheiten zu bekommen und sich Leckerlis zu verdienen. Wir können uns vorstellen, dass Helge sich problemlos in jede Familie integrieren lässt, die Lust hat den hübschen Kerl bei sich aufzunehmen! Ob er vielleicht schon mal ein zu Hause hatte, ist ungewiss. Man sollte sich darauf einstellen, dass er das Leben in einem Haushalt vielleicht erst noch kennenlernen muss und ihm auch das Hunde-ABC noch unbekannt ist. Aber so menschenzugewandt und fröhlich wie er ist, macht es ihm bestimmt viel Spaß mit seinen Menschen zu lernen, was man so wissen und können muss als Familienhund. Ein vorhandener Ersthund könnte ihm als Orientierung dienen. In der Pflegestelle zeigt er sich verträglich mit anderen Hunden, so dass er mit weiteren Artgenossen im neuen Heim sicher kein Problem hätte. Und nicht nur sein Charakter ist angenehm unkompliziert, sondern auch seine Größe: Mit seinen 40 cm Schulterhöhe und 14 kg Gewicht ist er ein angenehm mittelgroßer Hund. Wir schätzen, dass Helge etwa 1,5 Jahre alt ist. Ein spannendes Alter, denn die aufregende Lebensphase der Pubertät steht an. Es ist normal, dass in diesem Alter von den Vierbeinern eigentlich bereits erlernte Regeln gern nochmal hinterfragt werden und sie einige Flausen im Kopf haben. Aufgrund seiner umgänglichen Art ist bei Helge aber sicher nicht das Schlimmste zu befürchten – und mit Leckerlis oder Liebkosungen lässt er sich spätestens eh bestechen 😉 Aktuell hat der Hübsche einen Kratzer im Gesicht. Wir wissen nicht, was passiert ist. Eventuell hat er sich draußen irgendwo selbst verletzt, denn auf der Straße lauern viele Gefahren und Hindernisse. Aber die Wunde ist nicht tief und wird sicherlich komplett verheilen. Mit gepacktem Ausreiseköfferchen wartet Helge nun darauf, dass es endlich losgehen kann in sein neues Leben! Er hat seinen EU-Heimtierausweis im Gepäck und reist kastriert, geimpft, gechipt, entwurmt und entfloht. Nach positiver Vorkontrolle kann er gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro vermittelt werden.
