Houston is a charming individual with black markings and an exceptional smile. He is assessed to be 11 years old, but his agility and behavior do not reflect his age. Houston has traveled a long way to find himself in this place and situation. His early days at the animal shelter were very difficult as he wouldn’t leave his kennel panic-stricken, fearing humans. It’s not surprising that he showed such anxiety. About his past, we know that he wandered for a long time, chased by people. At the shelter, thanks to the work of volunteers, he overcame many fears. Initially, he would only venture out to the courtyard, not approaching us, and would only eat treats from a distance. After many months, he underwent a significant transformation, beginning to trust us enough to approach us. We managed to put a harness on Houston and take him for walks outside the animal shelter. At first, he would only walk along the perimeter of the animal shelter, but now he walks like any brave dog, enjoying the experience and savoring the surrounding scents. Houston enjoys the company of other dogs and people. He is overjoyed at the sight of volunteers. He is not a fan of being petted, still wary of touch, but he shows no aggression. All he needs is the presence of a human to feel safe and comfortable. It would be wonderful if someone could reward him for the lost, difficult years of his life. Houston is a loving, grateful, and happy dog who will surely be a comfort and friend to the person who gives him a home and a new life outside the animal shelter walls.

Houston to uroczy jegomość o czarnym umaszczeniu i wyjątkowym uśmiechu. Jest oceniony na 11 lat ale jego sprawność, zachowanie nie wskazuje na ten wiek. Houston przebył długą drogę aby znaleźć się w tym miejscu i stanie w którym jest. Początki jego pobytu w schronisku były bardzo trudne gdyż nie wychodził z budy panicznie bojąc się człowieka. Trudno się zresztą dziwić, że wykazywał taki niepokój. O jego przeszłości wiemy tyle, że długo się błąkał przeganiany przez ludzi. W schronisku, dzięki pracy wolontariuszy pokonał tyle lęków. Początkowo wychodził przestraszony tylko na podwórko i nie zbliżając się do nas a smaczki zjadał tylko z odległości. Po wielu miesiącach uległ znacznej metamorfozie, zaczął nam ufać na tyle, że zaczął podchodzić do nas. Udało nam się ubrać Houstona w szeleczki i wyprowadzić na spacer poza schronisko. Na początku spacerował tylko wzdłuż muru schroniska a obecnie spaceruje jak każdy odważny pies czerpiąc z tego przyjemność i delektując się otaczającymi zapachami. Houston lubi towarzystwo psów i ludzi. Raduje się całym sobą na widok wolontariuszy. Nie jest fanem głasków, wciąż obawia się dotyku, ale nie przejawia żadnej agresji. Wystarczy mu obecność człowieka aby poczuć się bezpiecznie i komfortowo. Byłoby wspaniale gdyby ktoś zechciał wynagrodzić mu te stracone, trudne lata życia. Jest kochanym, wdzięcznym, radosnym pieskiem który z pewnością będzie pociechą i przyjacielem osoby która da mu dom i nowe życie poza murami schroniska.
