Hummer reported to a concerned neighbor because he was on the lookout for a home. He found the outdoor life a bit too Spartan. Unfortunately, he couldn't stay there, but at our shelter, he could temporarily find a roof over his kitty head. And now he's on the hunt for a forever home. Could Hummer come live with you? Ladies and gentlemen: start your engines, the Hummer is coming! His name fits him well, for our Hummer is a pretty hefty little guy. Losing a bit of weight properly would also not be a bad idea. This lively and friendly ten-year-old cat is a sweet, social man. He has a calm character and likes to come for a pet and a snuggle. He also finds it cozy when you're around. Whether he's also a lap cat, we still don't know, but taking a nap next to you sounds nice to him. Hummer also loves playing. This nice guy, although a bit older, still attacks a fishing rod with the necessary enthusiasm. Especially playing around a scratching post finds him fantastic. Of course, then he needs to take a little puff. Good to know about Hummer Unfortunately, old age sometimes comes with some ailments, and so it is also the case with Hummer. He had a dental treatment where all his incisors were removed. He also has some dry paw pads. He no longer has any trouble with either, but our veterinarian likes to inform you what it means for you if Hummer comes to live with you. The (telephonic) conversation with the veterinarian is also part of the adoption process. To make the transition to a new home a bit easier, Hummer gets, of course, the supplement Zylkene. It is advised to continue this in his new home and gradually phase it out after a few months. What kind of home is he looking for? Because we don't know much about his background, we think he would like a home with a garden and people who are home regularly to give him attention. We don't know what he thinks of children, but older children who know how to handle cats probably fit him well. Don't forget to bring your children along for the introduction, then we'll see if it clicks. What this handsome fellow thinks of his fellow felines, we still don't know. Hummer meldde zich bij een bezorgde buurtbewoner omdat hij op zoek was naar een huisje. Het buitenleven vond hij iets te Spartaans. Helaas kon hij daar niet blijven, maar bij ons kon hij wel tijdelijk een dak boven zijn kattenhoofdje krijgen. En nu gaat hij op zoek naar een forever home. Mag Hummer bij jou komen wonen? Dit is Hummer Ladies and gentlemen: start your engines, the Hummer is coming! Zijn naam past goed bij hem, want qua omvang is onze Hummer best een flinke jongen. Verantwoord wat gewicht kwijtraken zou dan ook niet verkeerd zijn. Deze vrolijke en vriendelijke tienjarige kater is een lieve, sociale man. Hij heeft een rustig karakter en komt graag een aaitje en een knuffel bij je halen. Ook vindt hij het gezellig als je er bent. Of hij ook een schootkat is weten we nog niet, maar lekker naast je een dutje doen vindt hij wel fijn. Hummer houdt ook van spelen. Deze leuke knul mag dan al iets ouder zijn, maar een hengel met veer wordt gewoon met het nodige enthousiasme belaagd. Vooral spelen rond een krabpaal vindt hij fantastisch. Daarna natuurlijk wel even uitpuffen. Goed om te weten over Hummer Ouderdom komt helaas soms met wat gebreken, en zo ook bij Hummer. Hij heeft een gebitsbehandeling gehad waarbij al zijn snijtanden zijn verwijderd. Ook heeft hij wat droge voetzooltjes. Van beide heeft hij nu geen last, maar onze dierenarts licht graag toe wat het voor jou betekent als Hummer bij je komt wonen. Het (telefonische) gesprek met de dierenarts maakt dan ook onderdeel uit van de adoptieprocedure. Om de overgang naar een nieuw huis wat te vergemakkelijken krijgt Hummer het natuurlijk supplement Zylkene. Het advies is om dit in zijn nieuwe huis door te zetten en na een paar maanden rustig af te bouwen. Wat voor huisje zoekt hij Omdat Hummer gevonden is weten we niet zoveel over zijn achtergrond. We denken dat hij een huis met tuin wel fijn zal vinden, en mensen die regelmatig thuis zijn om hem aandacht te geven. Wat hij van kinderen vindt weten we niet, maar oudere kinderen die weten hoe je met katten omgaat passen waarschijnlijk wel bij hem. Neem je kinderen vooral mee bij de kennismaking, dan kijken we of het klikt. Wat deze knappe kerel van soortgenootjes vindt, weten we nog niet. Hij lijkt hier niet onvriendelijk tegen.
