Hello dear cat lovers, I am Karl (formerly Balou), around 6 years old, and searching for my big happiness! Because I haven't had much of that in my previous life. I have recently learned that I am FIV positive—ok, I don't exactly know what that means— I don't notice anything. But people shouldn't let that stop them, and hopefully, not you either. I have decided to grow old in my dream home. Will you help me with that? I was born and raised on the countryside. For the first part of my life, no one took care of me, and I froze and starved— that was really hard. On my wanderings, I found a place where there was always yummy food. As a very social guy, the big group of cats that share everything took me in. Now, full and taken care of, I have discovered the love for you humans. And yes, once I have trust, I don't want to be without you and your cuddles. That's why I now take my happiness into my own paws and am searching for a beautiful and loving forever home. My dream home would be with people who are mostly at home and maybe already have an FIV positive cat. With a cat-safe netted balcony where I could feel the sun and the wind on my fur, I would be very happy. Otherwise, I am a very unpretentious and lovable guy who would be infinitely grateful for a chance. Of course, I am—like a responsible tomcat should be—neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Hallo liebe Katzenfreunde, ich bin Karl (ehemals Balou), ca. 6 Jahre alt und auf der Suche nach dem großen Glück! Denn davon hatte ich in meinem bisherigen Leben nicht so viel. Ich habe seit Kurzem erfahren, dass ich FIV positiv bin- ok genau weiß ich jetzt auch nicht was das heißt - ich merk nix. Aber Leute davon lass ich mich nicht aufhalten und ihr hoffentlich auch nicht. Ich habe beschlossen in meinem Traumzuhause uralt zu werden. Helft ihr mir dabei? Geboren und aufgewachsen bin ich auf dem Land. Die erste Zeit meines Lebens hat sich niemand um mich gekümmert und ich habe gefroren und gehungert - das war echt hart. Auf meinen Streifzügen habe ich einen Platz gefunden, wo immer lecker Futter bereitstand. Da ich ein sehr soziales Kerlchen bin, hat mich die große Gruppe Katzen, die alles miteinander teilt, gleich aufgenommen. Satt und versorgt habe ich nun die Liebe zu euch Menschen entdeckt. Und ja, wenn ich erst Vertrauen gefasst habe, will ich eigentlich gar nicht mehr ohne euch und eure Streicheleinheiten sein. Deshalb nehme ich nun mein Glück selbst in die Pfote und suche auf diesem Weg ein schönes und liebevolles Für-immer-Zuhause. Mein Traumzuhause wäre bei Menschen, die überwiegend zuhause sind, und evtl. schon eine FiV positive Katze haben. Über einen vernetzten Balkon auf dem ich die Sonne und den Wind auf meinem Fell spüren könnte, wäre ich sehr glücklich. Ansonsten bin ich ein ganz anspruchsloses und liebenswertes Kerlchen, das unendlich dankbar wäre, eine Chance zu bekommen. Natürlich bin ich - wie es sich für einen verantwortungsvollen Kater gehört - kastriert, gechipt und geimpft. Wer öffnet sein Herz und sein Zuhause für einen armen, schwarzen Kater ???
