Kika is a gentle, soft‑natured girl and one of the dozen dogs we rescued from the area between Sremski Karlovci and Novi Sad. She’s timid, yet full of love for people, even though people had never given her anything but hardship. Stones, sticks, and harsh words were part of her everyday life until we saved her and brought her to safety. Kika is a beautiful, calm dog who simply needs a little time to learn to trust. And once she relaxes, her wonderful personality shines through. “Even though I’ve been hurt so many times, I never lost my faith in people. I’m not pushy, but I’m always there — quietly, in the background. ”
