Description Our Spanish animal welfare workers report: This small female dog Kira arrived in a pitiful condition at our shelter. Her ears were full of wounds and ravaged by leishmaniasis. She has now recovered after being treated with Glucantime and continues to take Allopurinol 100 mg every 12 hours (as of October 2022). Kira is, like many Bodegueros, very people-friendly and cuddly. She also gets along well with other dogs. She is a very pleasant, more quiet female dog. Kira can go on a leash well, travels without problems in the car, and is house-trained. We know all of this because she was in the home of a shelter volunteer during her leishmaniasis treatment. Who will give this lovely female dog a chance despite her illness? Kira is an attached and sociable dog who gets along with all dogs and people. She has been waiting so long! Update 18.02.2026 Photos from the November visit. Unfortunately, Kira has now gained some weight. She would need regular walks. She is otherwise doing well. Beschreibung Unsere spanischen Tierschützer berichten: Diese kleine Hündin Kira kam in einem jämmerlichen Zustand zu uns. Ihre Ohren waren voller Wunden und von den Leishmanien zerfressen. Sie hat sich jetzt erholt, nachdem sie mit Glucantime behandelt wurde und nimmt weiterhin Allopurinol 100 mg alle 12 Stunden (Stand Oktober 2022). Kira ist, wie viele Bodegueros, sehr menschenfreundlich und verschmust. Mit anderen Hunden kommt sie auch gut zurecht. Sie ist eine sehr angenehme, eher ruhigere Hündin. Kira kann gut an der Leine gehen, fährt ohne Probleme im Auto mit und ist stubenrein. All das wissen wir, weil sie während ihrer Leishmaniose-Behandlung im Haus einer Tierheimhelferin war. Wer gibt dieser tollen Hündin trotz der Krankheit eine Chance? Kira ist ein anhänglicher und geselliger Hund, der mit allen Hunden und Menschen verträglich ist. Sie wartet schon so lange! Update18.02.2026 Fotos von dem Besuch im November. Leider hat Kira mittlerweile Übergewicht. Sie bräuchte dringend regelmäßige Spaziergänge. es geht ihr ansonsten gut.
