Lenny mixes well with other dogs and could potentially live with another calm dog of a similar size and breed, subject to a successful introduction at the centre (neutered if female). Due to his racing background and natural prey drive, Lenny cannot live with cats or small furry pets, so his adopters must be mindful of this. He can live with secondary school-aged children who understand that he has not previously lived in a home environment and may need his own space and time to adjust. Lenny is an absolutely lovely boy with so much affection to give, and with patient, understanding owners, he will make a wonderful addition to a loving family. Lenny is a handsome 4-year-old ex-racing Greyhound with a wonderfully sweet nature and a friendly, confident personality. He loves meeting new people, enjoys plenty of fuss and attention, and is always happy to show off his gentle charm. Lenny walks beautifully on the lead, is comfortable wearing a harness, and enjoys playing with his toys. He is very tolerant of both informal and formal handling, allowing his ears, teeth, and claws to be checked with ease. As a typical ex-racer, he will need owners who can support him with housetraining and basic obedience as he settles into home life. Once settled, Lenny can be left alone for a few hours and would suit a home looking for a medium-energy companion. Lenny currently has some ongoing medical to be discussed with any new adopters.
