Lulu is a tiny Havanese mix with a huge amount of courage. At around 1 year old and weighing just 4.5kg, this beautiful little girl has already survived more than any young dog should have to face. When Lulu was rescued in July 2026, she was in a terrible, neglected condition. She was taken straight to the vet, treated for parasites and had to be shaved. Underneath all that neglected fur was a beautiful little dog who was finally getting the care she desperately needed. Sadly, shortly after her rescue Lulu became seriously ill. She began vomiting and suffering from bloody diarrhoea, and tests confirmed that she had parvovirus. She needed urgent treatment, including serum and medication to control the vomiting. For several days Lulu fought incredibly hard. On the third day she was still vomiting, but she refused to give up. A few days later came the first encouraging sign, she had started eating again.
