Marshall is a lovely, affectionate boy who would really love a quiet home where he can have his people all to himself. He is very loving with humans, but he isn’t a fan of sharing his space with other cats, so he is looking for a home where he can be the only cat. Marshall came to Farplace after being given as an unwanted gift to his previous owner by her children, following the loss of her much-loved older cat. She cared for Marshall for around a year but sadly reached a point where she was no longer able to continue caring for him, so he came to us to find his new home. He’s a bit of a stressy and anxious boy, and new situations can take a little bit of time for him to settle into. Once he feels comfortable, though, he is a proper cuddle bug. He loves fuss from his people and is also quite chatty, so he’ll happily have a little conversation with you while you’re going about your day. Marshall isn’t looking for a wild and exciting lifestyle. He’d be perfectly happy curling up somewhere warm and sunny for a snooze, with his people nearby for company. A calm home where he can have plenty of affection and his own space would suit him beautifully. Marshall is currently recovering from a small illness, so we’re hoping he’ll be feeling back to his usual self very soon and ready to find his new home. His blood tests showed that his B12 levels were low, and he is currently receiving B12 injections. His new family will, of course, be kept fully informed about his treatment and ongoing care. Marshall needs an indoor-only home. A secure catio or secure garden would be a lovely bonus, but isn’t essential. As with all of our cats, Marshall will leave Farplace castrated, microchipped and vaccinated, with his flea and worm treatment up to date, and following a full health check. We’ll also provide you with a full copy of his veterinary records to keep for your own records when he goes off to his new home. We are happy to consider homes up to around two hours’ travel from the rescue. Any further than this can make it difficult for us to offer the support we feel is important after adoption.
