Mazarin is a 13-year-old wirehaired dachshund. This small male dog lost his home when his elderly owner, who lived in a retirement home, was no longer able to care for him. Despite his age, Mazarin still has energy and retains a playful side. He particularly enjoys playing with his blanket or bed. He is a very kind dog, who is rather indifferent towards his fellow dogs and does not seek conflict. However, Mazarin suffers from arthritis and back pain. Certain manipulations, especially when he is lifted, can be painful and provoke a defensive reaction, which can go as far as biting. Therefore, it will be necessary to be particularly attentive to his comfort, respect his limits, and avoid manipulations that hurt him. At 13 years old, Mazarin is no longer looking for a hectic life, but a comfortable retirement bed where he can peacefully enjoy his remaining years. His ideal home: A quiet environment, without children. A single-story house or an apartment with an elevator. No stairs to climb every day.
