Meet Melanie Melanie was found in Melanes on 4 July 2026, most likely after being hit by a car. She had suffered severe injuries to one of her hind legs and her tail, and sadly both had to be amputated. She also has impaired vision in one eye. Despite everything she has been through, Melanie has made a wonderful recovery. She is an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl who loves cuddles and being close to people. She has a gentle, calm nature and, although sociable with the other cats at the shelter, she can be a little shy and submissive around them. Melanie has adapted remarkably well, but after such a difficult start she deserves the security of a loving indoor home where she can be safe, comfortable and cherished. Until Melanie finds her forever family, you can help us give her the care she deserves through virtual adoption, contributing towards her food, veterinary care and ongoing needs. Medical condition Due to an accident Melanie has had one of her right hind legs and her tail amputated and she has impaired vision in one eye. Become Melanie’s virtual guardian today. As a virtual adopter, you will receive: A personalized virtual adoption certificate • Monthly photos and updates about Melanie • The knowledge that you are changing her life
