As one of five kittens, she came into the world. But then her siblings suddenly disappeared, leaving her alone. Lonely and uncertain. When she arrived at the shelter, she was initially frightened. She couldn't understand what was happening. A soft blanket? A bowl that was filled several times a day just for her? She had probably never experienced anything like this before. And now she couldn't believe it was real. She devours every meal with such gusto, as if she was afraid that it would disappear at any moment and she would be hungry again... She still doesn't understand that nothing like that will ever happen again. We won't let that happen. Apricot has been dewormed and tested for FIV and FeLV. She will still need to be vaccinated and spayed before she is ready to go to her new home. We will use the funds raised to buy food, litter, and cover veterinary and other costs associated with caring for the animals. This little one was found completely alone. Her life was suddenly turned upside down. She must have been so hungry... Lupínek came from hell. Literally. He was born in a puppy mill, where animals didn't matter.

Na svět přišla jako jedno z pěti koťátek. Jenže pak její sourozenci náhle zmizeli a ona jediná zůstala. Osamělá a nejistá. Když se dostala k nám, byla zprvu vyplašená. Vůbec nechápala, co se děje. Měkká dečka? Mistička, která se několikrát za den plní jen pro ni? Nic takového nejspíš nikdy dřív nepoznala. A teď najednou nemohla uvěřit, že je to skutečné. Na každé jídlo se vrhá s takovou chutí, jako by se snad bála, že každou chvíli zmizí a zase bude hladovět… Ještě nepochopila, že nic takového už nikdy nezažije. Nedopustíme to. Meruňka má za sebou odčervení a testy na FIV a FeLV. Dál ji čeká ještě očkování a kastrace a poté by měla být připravená vyrazit do nového domova. Získané finance využijeme na nákup krmení, kočkolitu a úhradu veterinárních a dalších nákladů souvisejících s péčí o zvířátka. Tohle miminko se našlo úplně osamělé. Její život se zničehonic obrátil vzhůru nohama. Musel mít tak příšerný hlad... Lupínek přišel z pekla. Doslova. Narodil se v množírně, kde na zvířatech nezáleželo.
