Όταν ο κόσμος σου γκρεμίζεται, μένει μόνο η μοναξιά...» Αυτά τα μάτια δεν καταλαβαίνουν γιατί οι άνθρωποί του δεν βγαίνουν πια στον κήπο. Δεν καταλαβαίνει γιατί η πόρτα του σπιτιού παραμένει κλειστή.Ο Μπετόβεν ένας υπέροχος κύριος 7 χρόνων , έμεινε ξαφνικά μόνος. Οι ιδιοκτήτες του έφυγαν από τη ζωή και εκείνος απέμεινε πίσω, ο τελευταίος «φύλακας» αναμνήσεων σε έναν άδειο κήπο. Κλαίει σιγανά κάθε βράδυ, περιμένοντας ένα χάδι που δεν έρχεται πια.Οι ηλικιωμένοι σκύλοι δεν ζητούν πολλά. Δεν θέλουν τρέξιμο και ένταση. Ζητούν μόνο μια μαλακή γωνιά, ένα γεμάτο μπολ και τη βεβαιότητα ότι δεν θα πεθάνουν μόνοι. Γιατί να υιοθετήσετε έναν ηλικιωμένο σκύλο; Ξέρει τι θα πει σπίτι και κανόνες.Είναι ήρεμος, σοφός και απέραντα ευγνώμων.Η αγάπη που δίνει ένα πλάσμα που σώθηκε την τελευταία στιγμή, δεν συγκρίνεται με τίποτα.
