For a long time, it wasn't possible to secure him. Finally, a woman followed him to a rest stop. With the help of a neighbor who opened their garden gate, Najun was lured onto the property. With patience, food, and the support of the police and animal welfare workers, it was eventually possible to leash and bring the shy male Podenco into safety. In the time at the animal shelter, he has learned a lot and now remains still when leashed, though tensely and always in fear of something happening, but he is calm and shows no defensive behavior. He is more frozen out of fear and insecurity. He is making progress and developing. At first, he was only full of fear, now he is happy, loves to search and sniff, and is becoming more relaxed month by month. He learns to trust a little bit more every day, and it is beautiful that the trust-building is happening with patience and calmness. With other dogs, he is friendly and compatible. He looks to them, gains security through their proximity, and runs and plays with a companion all day long. Perhaps he will find this opportunity soon in his new home? With patience, calmness, and the right companionship, Najun will continue to build trust and bond with his human. We are sure of this. People who do not pressure him but give him time, value small steps, and gently introduce him to new impressions. People who prefer relaxation over big garden parties – chill out instead of grilling. Podenco experience is helpful but is not necessary if you have empathy, patience, and consistency. Najun needs clarity to gain security. Trust will be built, we are sure, but only if you meet him gently without expectation and pressure. Najun's health is regularly checked by a veterinarian, comprehensive laboratory analyses are available, and he is vaccinated multiple times, including rabies protection. This is not an individual case but a standard: all our dogs are regularly examined. This includes vaccinations, general check-ups, and a dental status check with cleaning if necessary. As new owners, you will receive all laboratory findings and pre-findings as a complete documentation for your veterinarian. Cats: During the first meeting, he was uninterested and showed neither fear nor prey drive towards the cats; he simply did not pay attention to them. An assessment of his cat compatibility is only partially possible; the situation at the animal shelter is different from that in the future home, and a dog develops with increasing trust. Lange gelang es nicht, ihn zu sichern. Schließlich folgte ihm eine Frau bis zu einem Rastplatz. Mit Hilfe eines Anwohners, der sein Gartentor öffnete, konnte Najun auf das Grundstück gelockt werden. Mit Geduld, Futter und der Unterstützung von Polizei und Tierschützern gelang es schließlich, den scheuen Rüden anzuleinen und in Sicherheit zu bringen. Najun ist ein schüchterner, ängstlicher Podenco, der bisher offenbar wenig Gutes mit Menschen erlebt hat. In geschlossenen Räumen fühlt er sich unwohl, er weint, wenn er eingeengt ist. Er kannte kein Halsband, kein Geschirr, keine Leine und keine Spaziergänge. Er hat in der Zeit im Tierheim viel gelernt und bleibt mittlerweile beim Anleinen er still stehen, allerdings angespannt und immer in der Befürchtung es passiert etwas, dennoch ist er ruhig und zeigt keinerlei Abwehrverhalten. Er ist eher erstarrt aus Angst und Unsicherheit. Er macht Fortschritte und entwickelt sich. Zu Anfang war er nur voller Angst, jetzt ist er fröhlich, liebt es zu suchen und zu schnüffeln und wird von Monat zu Monat entspannter. Er lernt täglich ein bisschen mehr zu vertrauen und es ist schön das der Vertrauensaufbau mit Ruhe und Geduld gelingt. Mit anderen Hunden ist er freundlich und verträglich. Er orientiert sich an ihnen, gewinnt durch ihre Nähe Sicherheit und rennt und spielt am liebsten den ganzen Tag mit einem Gefährten. Vielleicht findet er diese Gelegenheit bald im neuen Zuhause ?Mit Geduld, Ruhe und der richtigen Begleitung wird Najun weiter Vertrauen aufbauen und sich seinem Menschen anschließen. Da sind wir uns sicher. Für Najun wünschen wir uns ein ruhiges, einfühlsames Zuhause, möglichst mit einem souveränen Hundegefährten an seiner Seite. Menschen, die ihn nicht bedrängen, sondern ihm Zeit lassen, kleine Schritte wertschätzen und ihn sanft an neue Eindrücke heranführen. Menschen, die eher Entspannung als große Gartenpartys bevorzugen – Chillen statt Grillen. Podenco-Erfahrung wäre hilfreich, ist aber kein Muss, wenn Einfühlungsvermögen, Geduld und Konsequenz vorhanden sind.Najun braucht Klarheit, um Sicherheit zu gewinnen. Vertrauen wird er aufbauen, da sind wir uns sicher, aber nur wenn man ihm sanft begegnet ohne Erwartungshaltung und Bedrängen. Gesundheit Najun wird regelmäßig tierärztlich kontrolliert, umfangreiche Laboranalysen liegen vor und er ist mehrfach geimpft, inklusive Tollwutschutz. Katzen Bei einem ersten Kennenlernen war er desinteressiert und zeigte weder Scheu noch Angst oder Jagdtrieb den Katzen gegenüber, er hat sie einfach nicht beachtet.
