I’m now taking her to OLD BUT GOLD animal physiotherapy. She sleeps much more now and is often stubborn. Otherwise, she’s still my dearest treasure. Perdy now only has problems with loud noises on New Year’s Eve. She wants to bark at everything...but can’t quite manage it. Sometime around two o’clock in the night, she finally fell asleep from exhaustion. Attached is another Christmas photo—our sweetie didn’t find it very exciting either ;-). Update 24.09.2019: Perdy’s family sends greetings and pictures I’m sending you some vacation photos of Perdy. My sweetheart gave me a real scare before our summer vacation. Three days before we were due to leave, it was very hot. Perdy was out for a walk at noon, had lunch, and then was left alone at home for an hour. Before I left the apartment, she was sleeping peacefully in her basket. When I came home, my poor dog was sitting in the living room, agitated and breathing heavily. I thought she was having a heart attack... I immediately took her to the vet. As soon as we arrived, Perdy had calmed down again. The vet said, though, that I should get an ultrasound done because her heart sounds were irregular. So I did just that. I was really lucky and could drive to the Duisburg Asterlagen veterinary clinic the next day. Long story short, Perdy has congenital heart failure. But the vet said I shouldn’t worry—after all, she’s eight now and hasn’t shown any signs of trouble yet. Next week there’s another special blood test, and I’m hoping nothing serious comes up. The vet also recommended specific blood values. Perdy hasn’t reacted like that since then, but you’re still shaken. Our vacation after that was lovely though. We spent a lot of time on the beach, and Perdy went swimming with me a lot, since the water was very calm. A real wellness vacation for dogs ;-). We’re all doing well. Perdy will turn seven this month. She’s become much more relaxed and calm over the past year—just a middle-aged lady. Since the beginning of the year, I’ve had “back issues”—my owner said after a few weeks I needed physiotherapy... At first I was skeptical, but the physiotherapist is really nice. She helped me a lot. I still haven’t figured out why I had to walk on a treadmill in water... but massages are really relaxing. I didn’t enjoy acupuncture so much... but if it helps... You don’t get younger, after all ;-)...as you can see in the photos, our family has grown. I now have a little sister. Like little dogs are...sometimes quite annoying, but cuddling together in the basket is also lovely. Now I’m almost never alone. That’s super great. Soon we’ll be going on vacation again. See you soon, and many greetings from owner and Perdy Update 07.12.2016: News from Perdy: She’s already been part of our family for four years in two weeks, and I can say: “She’s integrated herself superbly” ;-) It takes time to realize how much you grow together. I’m so glad she’s with us. She brings us so much joy. Taking photos with Perdy has become tricky lately...she looks away immediately when someone pulls out their phone...we probably went a bit overboard. Still, I’m sending you a few impressions. In the third photo, she’s eating an apple...though we have a gourmet. Perdy only likes fresh apples picked straight from the tree. They’re probably not sprayed. I’ll send you a video via WhatsApp...it’s hilarious how she nibbles on the apple. Update 16.05.2016: Perdy got in touch Otherwise, Perdy (I hope she thinks so too) is doing well. She usually comes to the office in the mornings. Sometimes, though, she doesn’t feel like it and voluntarily stays home (!!!!) (meaning: one floor above the office ;-) ). Last year before Christmas, we had to remove a toe. A tumor had formed and dissolved the bone. It was a tough time. But now everything has healed nicely, and I hope something like that doesn’t happen again. Our poor girl was pretty upset...but so were we. I also had Perdy’s paw checked again, since the bone sometimes swells. The X-ray showed, though, that the toe amputation has healed well. Unfortunately, the tendons are often irritated due to the misalignment. I visited a veterinary orthopedist at the beginning of the year. Perdy got shoes for walks on asphalt that have better soles and cushioning. In the forest, her paw doesn’t cause any problems and isn’t swollen either. As an emergency kit, I have pain tablets, half of which is enough if she overexerts herself. - It’s not really healthy and only happens about 2-3 times a month. Otherwise, our Perdy is fit. Time flies...now she’s already been with us for three and a half years ;-). Update 23.08.2015: Perdy took a vacation by the Atlantic Perdy spent her vacation in France this year. She’ll soon be three years with us, and time has flown by. Our wild little girl has also become a bit calmer. She easily handled a 16-hour car ride. All that matters is that her basket and the rest of the family are in the car. She was rewarded for that during the vacation and could walk for hours every day. As soon as she got home, she slept for a whole week. Many love greetings...I hope we have

Dank regelmäßiger Physio läuft Perdy mit ihren stolzen 13 Jahren noch gut mit in den Bergen. Zwar sind die Wanderungen nicht mehr so riesig, aber ich finde sie macht das super. Wir werden auch älter und sollten Rücksicht auf den Hund nehmen. update 01.04.2024: Perdys Frauchen hat sich gemeldet: Perdy ist für ihre zwölf noch gut dabei. Ich gehe mit ihr jetzt zu OLD BUT GOLD Tierphysio. Sie schläft jetzt wesentlich mehr und ist oft stur. Perdy hat inzwischen nur Probleme mit den Knallgeräuschen an Silvester. Sie möchte alle verbellen....klappt nur nicht. Irgendwann gegen zwei Uhr Nachts ist sie dann vor Elend eingeschlafen. Anbei noch ein Weihnachtsfoto - fand unsere Süsse auch nicht so prickelnd ;-). update 24.09.2019: Perdy's Familie schickt Grüße und Bilder Ich schicke euch ein paar Urlaubsfotos von Perdy. Mein Schätzchen hat mir vor unserem Sommerurlaub einen riesen Schrecken eingejagt. Drei Tage vor Urlaubsantritt war es sehr heiß. Perdy war mittags Gassi, hatte Mittag und war dann eine Stunde alleine zu Hause. Bevor ich die Wohnung verlassen hatte, lag sie schlafend im Körbchen. Als ich nach Hause kam, saß mein armer Hund aufgeregt und ganz stark hechelnd im Wohnzimmer. Ich habe gedacht sie kriegt einen Herzinfarkt.... Ich bin dann direkt mit ihr zum Tierarzt gefahren. Kaum angekommen hatte Perdy sich wieder beruhigt. Der Tierarzt meinte aber, dass ich eine Ultraschalluntersuchung machen sollte, da die Herztöne unregelmäßig wären. Gesagt getan. Ich hatte dann echt Glück und konnte den darauffolgenden Tag zur Tierklinik Duisburg Asterlagen fahren. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn. Perdy hat eine angeborene Herzschwäche. Der Arzt meinte aber, dass ich mir keine Sorgen machen müsste. Sie wäre schließlich jetzt acht und hätte bis jetzt keine Auffälligkeiten gehabt. Nächste Woche steht nochmal eine besondere Blutuntersuchung an und ich hoffe das da nichts Schlimmes bei raus kommt. Der Tierarzt hat auch eine Empfehlung für spezielle Blutwerte gegeben. Perdy hat seitdem auch nicht wieder so reagiert, aber man ist erstmal fertig. Unser Urlaub war danach aber sehr schön. Wir haben viel am Strand gelegen und Perdy ist viel mit mir schwimmen gegangen, da das Wasser sehr ruhig war. Regelrechter Wellnessurlaub für die Hunde ;-). update 04.01.2019: Perdy schickte Weihnachtsgrüße :-) update 06.10.2018: Wir erhielten Urlaubsgrüße von Perdy und Familie Wir haben eine schöne Urlaubszeit gehabt und wollten uns mal melden ;-). Uns geht es allen gut. Perdy wird diesen Monat sieben Jahre alt. Sie ist wesentlich gelassener und ruhiger in dem letzten Jahr geworden, halt eine Dame mittleren Alters. update 14.01.2018: Perdy mag - wie jedes Jahr - keine Weihnachtsverkleidung ;-) Man sieht es ihr an. Ihre "Schwester" trägt es mit Fassung. Wir wünschen euch allen vom Team : *** Frohe Weihnachten und ein gesundes und glückliches 2018 !! *** Ich hoffe für alle Dalmis, dass sie ein schönes und friedvolles zu Hause bekommen. Ihr leistet tolle Arbeit, die man nur erahnen kann. Immer wieder "Hut ab" für dieses Engagement !!! Viele liebe Grüße von Perdy und Familie update 07.07.2017: Uns erreichte Post von Perdy: Mir geht es wieder gut. Seit Anfang des Jahres hatte ich "Rücken" - Frauchen meinte dann nach ein paar Wochen ich müsste zur Physio.... erst war ich skeptisch, aber die Physiotherapeutin ist ne richtig Nette. Sie hat mir auch gut geholfen. Ich habe zwar bis heute nicht verstanden warum ich auf ein Laufband ins Wasser musste ... Massagen sind aber wirklich sehr entspannend. Akkupunktur fand ich nicht so prickelnd.... aber wenn es hilft.... Man wird halt nicht jünger ;-)....wie ihr auf den Fotos sehen könnt, hat sich unsere Familie vergrößert. Ich habe jetzt noch eine kleine Schwester bekommen. Wie so kleine Hunde sind....manchmal ganz schön nervig, aber zu zweit im Körbchen kuscheln ist auch sehr schön. Jetzt bin ich so gut wie nie alleine. Das ist super Klasse. Bald geht es wieder in den Urlaub. Mal sehen wie dem "Zwerg" das Meer gefällt. Bis bald und viele Grüße von Frauchen und Perdy update 07.12.2016: Neues von Perdy: Sie ist in zwei Wochen schon vier Jahre unser Familienmitglied und ich kann behaupten: " Sie hat sich super integriert " ;-) Man merkt erst im Laufe der Zeit wie sehr man doch zusammenwächst. Ich bin so froh sie bei uns zu haben. Sie macht uns viel Freude. Fotos mit Perdy zu machen erweist sich inzwischen als schwierig....sie guckt direkt weg, wenn jemand das Handy zückt... vermutlich haben wir es übertrieben. Ich schicke trotzdem mal ein paar Eindrücke. Auf dem dritten Foto frisst sie einen Apfel....allerdings haben wir einen Feinschmecker. Perdy mag nur frische gepflückte direkt vom Baum. Vermutlich sind diese nicht gespritzt. Ich schicke Dir mal per Whats App ein Video....zum schießen wie sie den Apfel knabbert. update 16.05.2016: Perdy hat sich gemeldet Ansonsten geht es Perdy (ich hoffe sie denkt genauso) gut. Sie ist meistens morgens mit im Büro. Manchmal hat sie aber keine Lust und bleibt freiwillig (!!!!) zu Hause (sprich: eine Etage über dem Büro ;-) ).Letztes Jahr vor Weihnachten mussten wir eine Zehe entfernen lassen. Es hatte sich ein Tumor gebildet, der den Knochen aufgelöst hatte. Das war eine schlimme Zeit. Inzwischen ist aber alles gut verheilt und ich hoffe, dass so etwas nicht nochmal passiert. Unsere arme Maus war ziemlich neben der Spur....wir aber auch. Perdys Pfote habe ich auch nochmal untersuchen lassen, da der Knochen manchmal geschwollen ist. Das Röntgenbild hat aber gezeigt, dass die Amputation der Zehe gut verheilt ist. Die Sehnen sind leider oft gereizt durch die Fehlstellung. Ich war Anfang des Jahres bei einem Tierorthopäden. Perdy hat für Spaziergänge auf dem Asphalt einen Schuh bekommen, der etwas besser besohlt und gepolstert ist. Im Wald macht die Pfote nicht so Probleme und ist dann auch nicht geschwollen. Als Notfallset habe ich Schmerztabletten, wobei eine halbe bei Überbeanspruchung reicht. - Ist ja nicht wirklich gesund und kommt auch nur ca. 2-3 mal im Monat vor. Sonst ist unsere Perdy fit. Die Zeit rennt....jetzt ist sie schon 3 1/2 Jahre bei uns ;-). update 23.08.2015: Perdy hat am Atlantik Urlaub gemacht Perdy hat dieses Jahr Urlaub in Frankreich gemacht. Bald ist sie schon drei Jahre bei uns und die Zeit ist wie im Flug vergangen. Unsere wilde Wutz ist auch etwas ruhiger geworden. 16 Stunden Autofahrt hat sie locker weggesteckt. Hauptsache das Körbchen und der Rest der Familie sind mit im Auto. Sie wurde dafür im Urlaub auch entschädigt und konnte jeden Tag Stunden laufen. Kaum zu Hause angekommen hat sie sich erstmal für ne Woche ausgeschlafen. Viele Liebe Grüsse....ich hoffe wir habe
