adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! The little Pixel is only 10 months old and has already experienced more in her young life than many other dogs. Once she had a family in Romania, but after a serious car accident, everything changed. Her leg was so badly injured that it was almost completely destroyed. While it could be saved, the worst was that her people simply gave her up after that. And yet, Pixel has preserved her joy for life. She is a small fighter with a big heart and shows every day how much strength is in her. Since the end of January, she has been living in a loving foster home in Germany and was reintroduced to a clinic there. In mid-April, she bravely underwent a femur head neck resection, an operation that should help her lead a more pain-free life. Since then, she has adapted much better to her leg and uses it more frequently. Although she will always have a slight limp, she doesn't let it bother her at all and doesn't let it stop her from enjoying life to the fullest. Pixel is about 25 cm tall, incredibly cute, and likely a Terrier mix. But above all, she is a real bundle of energy. She loves life, is curious, playful, and full of initiative. In everyday life, Pixel shows herself to be exceptionally people-friendly and contact-seeking. She loves attention and closeness and is especially enthusiastic about children. Whether at the playground, kindergarten, or at home – small people fascinate her very much. Currently, she lives with two children in her foster home and behaves there consistently friendly and open. She also gets along well with other dogs. In puppy school, she particularly enjoys the shared playing and frolicking and shows herself to be social and cheerful. However, it looks different with cats, rodents, and other small animals: Her pronounced prey drive becomes evident here, which is why she cannot live with such animals. A safe recall is therefore not possible at the moment. She already knows how to drive a car and basic commands, and she is generally willing to learn. Typical of a Terrier, however, is when she has the motivation herself. She currently pulls strongly on the leash because she would like to be everywhere at the same time. Here, patience, consistency, and further practice are needed. She has only known limited alone time so far: When her trusted people leave, she barks at first, but then finds her peace again. However, we do not see her in a rental apartment, as she also reacts to noises in the environment and comments on them. Similarly, it currently still proves difficult for her to calm down, for example, in restaurants. People are simply too exciting and interesting for her. It is particularly important for Pixel to have the right form of stimulation. She brings a lot of energy with her, and if she cannot use it meaningfully, she will seek her own mental stimulation, which can be quite creative. Pure physical exercise is not enough for Pixelchen, especially since her operated leg can also put her at limits. The more important thing is mental stimulation, nose work, hide-and-seek, small cognitive tasks, and clear structures in everyday life. Pixel needs people who enjoy working with her and challenge her both physically and mentally. For Pixel, we wish for an active, preferably dog-experienced home that does not underestimate her Terrier energy. A family with children would be ideal, provided they are willing to train her consistently and give her clear rules. A house with a safe and sufficiently high-fenced garden would be a great advantage for her. While this does not replace mental stimulation, it offers her additional opportunities to move safely and process stimuli. Pixel is not suitable for people who are looking for a quiet beginner dog or expect a dog to just tag along in everyday life. A home with cats or small animals or a vigilant rental apartment also do not meet her needs. Pixel is an incredibly happy, loving, and special dog. She does not define herself by her handicap but by her joy for life and her character. Whoever is ready to give her what she needs – structure, training, appropriate stimulation, physiotherapy, and loving consequences – will find a loyal, fun, and extraordinary companion in her. Pixel is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and of course has her EU pet passport with her. She needs an operation and hopes for your support: Status: 31.05. This animal was surrendered to the shelter.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!
