It’s impossible to describe in a few sentences just how titanic the work Przybysz has done at the shelter to regain trust—to once again begin to experience joy in the presence of humans, in shared walks, in the touch of a human hand. He came to us in 2021 from a “home” where he’d spent several years chained up. For the first year, he wouldn’t let us touch him, wouldn’t go for walks, and didn’t seek any contact with people. Today, Przybysz is a different dog altogether. At our sight, his tail wags with delight, his muzzle peers intently toward us, and Przybysz as a whole seems to be begging for attention. He demands physical contact, nudges with his paw, and the mere presence of a human brings him immense pleasure. Yet all of this must happen on his terms. Przybysz gives clear signals when he needs space, and we’re always on the lookout for guardians who’ll respect those boundaries. At the shelter, we’ve managed to convince Przybysz that walking can be enjoyable. It’s true—he’s an ideal companion for walks: he trots along on a loose leash and pays no attention to passing dogs, cars, or bicycles. In direct encounters with other canine friends, he’s rather reserved and doesn’t actively seek out other dogs—but he’s completely non-confrontational. He loves sniffing around; the world of scents utterly fascinates him. He’s also a big foodie, which makes our work together much easier. He quickly picked up the “sit” command. Let’s be honest—Przybysz isn’t a perfect dog. He’s not an easy dog, either. He has his limits. There are still barriers in his mind that will likely stay with him for the rest of his life. But from the bottom of our hearts, we assure you—Przybysz is truly an extraordinary dog. And he’s looking for an equally extraordinary guardian: someone wise and patient, someone who’ll love him just as he is—with all his fears and imperfections. Someone who’ll be ready to put in the effort, someone who’ll be willing to give Przybysz nothing but selfless kindness. Please, let his story have a happy ending. Let this not be yet another lost dog’s life...

Nie sposób w kilku zdaniach opisać, jak tytaniczną pracę wykonał w schronisku Przybysz, by znowu zaufać. By znowu zacząć odczuwać radość z obecności człowieka, ze wspólnego spaceru, z dotyku ludzkiej ręki. Trafił do nas w 2021 roku z „domu”, w którym kilka lat spędził na łańcuchu. Przez pierwszy rok nie pozwalał nam na dotyk, nie wychodził na spacery, nie szukał z ludźmi kontaktu. Dzisiaj Przybysz to inny pies Na nasz widok cieszy mu się ogon, a pyszczek wpatruje się w człowieka i Przybysz całym sobą prosi o uwagę. Domaga się dotyku, zaczepia łapką i obecność człowieka sprawia mu ogromną przyjemność. Jednak to wszystko musi odbywać się na jego zasadach. Przybysz daje jasne znaki, kiedy potrzebuje przestrzeni i szukamy dla niego opiekunów, którzy to uszanują. W schronisku udało nam się przekonać Przybysza, że spacerowanie może być przyjemne. Trzeba przyznać, że chłopak jest idealnym spacerowiczem, chodzi na luźnej smyczy i nie zwraca uwagi na mijane psy, samochody czy rowery. W bezpośrednim kontakcie z psimi kolegami jest dosyć niepewny, nie garnie się do innych psów, ale jest zupełnie bezkonfliktowy. Uwielbia wąchanie, świat zapachów niesamowicie go interesuje. Jest również wielkim łakomczuchem, co bardzo ułatwia nam wspólną pracę. W mig załapał komendę siad. Mówmy wprost - Przybysz nie jest psem idealnym. Nie jest psem łatwym. Ma swoje granice. Wciąż ma w swojej głowie ograniczenia, po których ślad pozostanie w nim prawdopodobnie do końca życia. Ale z głębi serca zapewniamy - Przybysz jest psem naprawdę wyjątkowym. I poszukuje tak samo wyjątkowego opiekuna. Osoby mądrej i cierpliwej. Osoby, która pokocha go razem z jego wszystkimi lękami i niedoskonałościami. Osoby, która będzie gotowa na pracę. Będzie gotowa podarować Przybyszowi po prostu bezinteresowne dobro. Prosimy, niech jego historia zakończy się szczęśliwie. Niech to nie będzie kolejne stracone psie życie…
