November 2023 | 56cm | 25kg | Foster family Siegen Ravi is looking for his person - not the perfect one, but the right one! Ravi is about 2.5 years old and currently lives in a foster home near Siegen. He is one of those dogs that you don't immediately "understand" - but when you get to know him, he shows how much is inside him. At home, Ravi is a very pleasant companion: He calms down well, barks little, can be alone for several hours and travels calmly in the car. He is also a welcome colleague in the office. He bonds closely with his person of attachment and seeks orientation. Outside, the world looks different to him. Stimuli overwhelm him quickly, his prey drive is clearly noticeable and it is currently difficult for him to stay calm on a leash. Here he needs people who lead him, not hold him back - who show him that he doesn't have to regulate everything himself. Ravi is not a dog for wild ball games or constant action programs. He is rather a thinker. Calm activities such as search or fetch games are much more to his liking. With other dogs, he is rather neutral - short contacts are completely sufficient for him. Children are generally possible, but should be calm and understanding (from around 6 years old), as Ravi can become overwhelmed quickly if it gets too hectic. What Ravi doesn't need: ❌ wrong expectations What he needs: ✔️ clear leadership ✔️ someone who really sees him Ravi is not a "finished" dog. But exactly this makes him special. *November 2023 | 56cm | 25kg | Pflegestelle Siegen Ravi sucht seinen Menschen – keinen perfekten, sondern den Richtigen! Ravi ist etwa 2,5 Jahre alt und lebt aktuell auf einer Pflegestelle in der Nähe von Siegen. Er gehört zu den Hunden, die man nicht sofort „versteht“ – aber wenn man sich auf ihn einlässt, zeigt er, wie viel in ihm steckt. Zuhause ist Ravi ein absolut angenehmer Begleiter: Er kommt gut zur Ruhe, bellt kaum, kann einige Stunden alleine bleiben und fährt entspannt im Auto mit. Auch im Büro ist er ein gern gesehener Kollege. Er bindet sich eng an seine Bezugsperson und sucht Orientierung. Draußen sieht die Welt für ihn noch anders aus. Reize überfordern ihn schnell, sein Jagdtrieb ist deutlich zu spüren und an der Leine fällt es ihm aktuell noch schwer, ruhig zu bleiben. Hier braucht er Menschen, die ihn führen, nicht bremsen – die ihm zeigen, dass er nicht alles selbst regeln muss. Ravi ist kein Hund für wilde Ballspiele oder ständiges Actionprogramm. Er ist eher ein Denker. Ruhige Beschäftigung wie Such- oder Apportierspiele liegen ihm deutlich mehr. Mit anderen Hunden ist er eher neutral – kurze Kontakte reichen ihm völlig. Kinder sind grundsätzlich möglich, sollten aber ruhig und verständig sein (ab ca. 6 Jahren), da Ravi schnell überfordert sein kann, wenn es zu hektisch wird. Was Ravi nicht braucht: ❌ falsche Erwartungen Was er braucht: ✔️ klare Führung ✔️ jemanden, der ihn wirklich sieht Ravi ist kein „fertiger“ Hund. Aber genau das macht ihn besonders.
