Sailor is just 1–2 years old , but he has already been through more than most cats his age. Our vets believe Sailor may have been hit by a car in the past. His right hip healed out of its socket, and his leg may have been broken long ago. More recently, he suffered a pelvic fracture, possibly after jumping down from a counter. Sadly, X-rays have now shown that his femur is deteriorating. There is a 50/50 possibility that this could be a tumour or muscle tissue that has formed around his old injury. We are hoping desperately that his leg can be saved and that amputation won't be necessary. Whatever happens, Sailor will receive all the care, love and comfort he needs. Despite everything he has endured, Sailor is simply the sweetest boy. He is playful, affectionate, cuddly and full of love. He has now completely settled into life as an indoor cat and has absolutely no interest in going outside again. Sailor is looking for: • An indoor-only home • To be the only cat in the household • Someone who is home for most of the day , as Sailor has some separation anxiety • Older, cat-savvy children only • Most importantly, a quiet, loving home where he can feel safe and cherished Sailor has had more than his fair share of hardship. Adoption Requirements Before adopting, please ensure you can provide a safe, stable, and loving lifelong home for your new companion. To adopt, you will need: A recent utility bill showing your Eircode An adoption fee of €25 per cat or kitten Please complete our Adoption Inquiry Application . We review every application carefully and will respond as soon as possible. During busy periods, there may be a short delay while other applications are being processed. Once your kitten is old enough, you can also avail of our discounted neutering scheme for just €35 , helping to ensure your new pet has the best start in life.
