SAM-I-AM was admitted into our care after he was sadly abandoned outside our centre with his mum and siblings. After spending some time with our animal care team, he is ready to find himself a new home. At present, SAM-I-AM is a timid boy and can be nervous around people who he does not know, he currently does not like to be lifted and handled so will require owners who have experience with nervous cats, who will be able to provide him with a safe and comfortable home, allowing him time to settle. Despite his rough start to life, SAM-I-AM has come on well with our team, he has become more confident with people in the time he has spent with us, allowing for gentle pets and head rubs. He loves his food and treats, which is a wonderful way to help build trust and strengthen your bond with him! We are confident that with time, he will become a great companion for the right family. As he has a more independent nature, once settled, he would be best suited to be able to have the option to explore the outdoors. Due to his temperament, he will need a hands off approach while settling so would not be suited for living with young children. Sam-I-AM could live with other cats with gradual introductions in the home. It is unknown how he would react around dogs.
