Max is a 3-year-old lively and playful German Shepherd. He is an active dog with a lot of personality, a great playful spirit, and good potential for further training. He understands several commands. Max needs an active and experienced home, preferably with someone with experience with German Shepherds or other active working dogs. He needs both physical activity and mental stimulation, as well as help to find peace and rest. He can be rough and use his mouth in play and when greeting, without always understanding his own size and strength. Dog trainers who have worked with Max do not experience him as an aggressive dog, but as a dog where frustration and understimulation have contributed to the challenges. Max therefore needs a calm, secure, clear, and consistent owner who can read the dog's signals and wants to continue the training. Harsh treatment and physical correction is not right for Max (or other dogs). Due to his challenges, we are primarily looking for an experienced adult home without children where he can get the follow-up he needs. For the right person, we believe Max has a lot to offer. He needs someone who sees his potential, has time for him, and wants to build a good partnership through activity, training, security, and clear boundaries. The most important thing is not that Max finds a new home quickly - but that he finds the right home.

Max er en flott, livlig og svært leken schæfergutt på 3 år. Han er en aktiv hund med mye personlighet, stor lekelyst og godt potensial for videre trening. Han forstår flere kommandoer. Max trenger et aktivt og hundeerfarent hjem, aller helst hos noen med erfaring med schæfer eller andre aktive brukshunder. Han trenger både fysisk aktivitet, mental stimulering og samtidig hjelp til å finne ro og hvile. Han kan være voldsom og bruke munnen i lek og ved hilsing, uten alltid å forstå sin egen størrelse og styrke. Hundetrener som har jobbet med Max opplever ham ikke som en aggressiv hund, men som en hund hvor frustrasjon og understimulering har bidratt til utfordringene. Max trenger derfor en rolig, trygg, tydelig og konsekvent eier som kan lese hundens signaler og ønsker å fortsette treningen. Hardhendt behandling og fysisk korrigering er ikke riktig for Max (eller andre hunder).. På grunn av utfordringene hans søker vi primært et erfarent voksenhjem uten barn hvor han kan få den oppfølgingen han trenger. For den rette personen tror vi Max har svært mye å by på. Han trenger noen som ser potensialet hans, har tid til ham og ønsker å bygge et godt samarbeid gjennom aktivitet, trening, trygghet og tydelige rammer. Det aller viktigste er ikke at Max finner et nytt hjem raskt – men at han finner det riktige hjemmet.
