The almost five-year-old Simba is about 56 cm tall and weighs around 25 kg. Simba was found as a stray on the street and came from a euthanasia station, from which he was saved. What he experienced before, we do not know. Only that these experiences have left their mark. Currently, Simba lives in Germany with a foster home. And this foster family is doing incredible work with patience, empathy, and a lot of love regarding Simba. Not long ago, he preferred to keep a distance from people. However, nowadays, he shows clear signs of being curious about life. He now enjoys walks very much. He walks attentively, orienting himself strongly to his people and even begins to really blossom on the way. Sometimes he suddenly takes off, rolls in the grass, or discovers new things like playing in the stream with great enthusiasm. Also, in dealing with people, Simba has made great progress. In the house, Simba is still a bit more cautious than outside, but he is also increasingly seeking closeness. It often shows that he can even enjoy touch. Recently, he was stroked for the first time and even nudged with his snout – as if to say, "Please keep going." Or he lies down on the sofa as if it were the most natural thing in the world. And Simba has no intention of stopping his development and was already on vacation at the beach with his foster family and dog buddies. Even driving has been mastered by this handsome fellow with great skill. His foster family has a full heart when they see the progress Simba has made. Simba gets along well with other dogs. He is particularly strongly oriented towards the confident male dogs in his foster home. This gives him security and helps him find his way in new situations. Therefore, a quiet, stable only dog could be a great support for Simba. Simba also gets along with cats, and he observes chickens with curiosity rather than excitement. Simba is a little superhero and is slowly but surely developing, even though there will certainly still be many hurdles to overcome in the future. But his foster family is delighted with how he now handles new situations. When something new and different comes up for Simba, he looks at it for a moment and then approaches it cautiously but curiously. It is incredible how he faces new challenges so quickly and masters them after such a short time. With outstretched patience, understanding, and people who respect his body language, Simba can develop into an amazing companion. Simba is looking for a quiet home with sensitive people who give him time to settle in and build trust. People who take pleasure in seeing small progress – because these moments make Simba so special. For Simba, there is only one direction – forward. The past and with it many bad experiences are left behind. Simba will be neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas with an EU pet passport and rehomed. Der fast fünf Jahre alte Simba ist etwa 56 cm groß und wiegt rund 25 kg. Simba wurde einst ausgesetzt auf der Straße gefunden und kam anschließend in eine Tötungsstation, aus der er gerettet werden konnte. Was er zuvor erlebt hat, wissen wir nicht. Sicher ist nur, dass diese Erfahrungen Spuren hinterlassen haben. Inzwischen lebt Simba in Deutschland bei seiner Pflegestelle. Und diese Pflegefamilie leistet gerade mit Geduld, Empathie und ganz viel Liebe unglaublich wertvolle Arbeit in Bezug auf Simba. Noch vor einiger Zeit hielt er lieber Abstand zu Menschen. Mittlerweile zeigt er jedoch immer deutlicher, dass er neugierig auf das Leben ist. Spaziergänge genießt er inzwischen sehr. Er läuft aufmerksam mit, orientiert sich stark an seinen Menschen und beginnt sogar, unterwegs richtig aufzublühen. Manchmal flitzt er plötzlich los, wälzt sich im Gras oder entdeckt begeistert neue Dinge wie das Spielen im Bach. Auch im Umgang mit Menschen macht Simba große Fortschritte. Im Haus ist Simba noch etwas vorsichtiger als draußen, aber auch dort sucht er immer mehr Nähe. Dabei zeigt sich immer öfter, dass er Berührungen sogar genießen kann. Kürzlich hat er sich zum ersten Mal richtig streicheln lassen und sogar mit der Schnauze angestupst – ganz so, als wollte er sagen: „Mach bitte weiter.“ Oder er legt sich, wie selbstverständlich mit aufs Sofa. Und Simba hat nicht vor, in seiner Entwicklung zu stoppen und war mittlerweile mit seiner Pflegefamilie und den Hundekumpels im Urlaub am Meer. Auch das Autofahren hat der hübsche Kerl mit Bravour gemeistert. Seine Pflegefamilie hat ein volles Herz, wenn sie sehen, welche Fortschritte Simba hingelegt hat. Mit anderen Hunden versteht sich Simba sehr gut. Besonders stark orientiert er sich derzeit an dem souveränen Rüden seiner Pflegestelle. Dieser gibt ihm Sicherheit und hilft ihm, sich in neuen Situationen zurechtzufinden. Deshalb könnte ein ruhiger, stabiler Ersthund für Simba eine große Unterstützung sein. Auch mit Katzen kommt Simba zurecht, und Hühner beobachtet er eher neugierig als aufgeregt. Simba ist ein kleiner Superheld und entwickelt sich langsam aber sicher immer weiter, auch wenn es auch in Zukunft sicherlich noch viele Hürden zu meistern gilt. Doch seine Pflegefamilie ist begeistert, wie er mittlerweile mit neuen Situationen umgeht. Wenn für Simba etwas neu und anders ist, schaut er einen kurzen Moment und nähert sich dann vorsichtig, aber neugierig. Es ist unglaublich, wie er sich nach so kurzer Zeit neuen Herausforderungen stellt und sie meistert. Mit ausrechend Geduld, Verständnis und Menschen, die seine Körpersprache respektieren, kann sich Simba zu einem wunderbaren Begleiter entwickeln. Simba sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause bei einfühlsamen Menschen, die ihm Zeit geben, anzukommen und Vertrauen aufzubauen. Menschen, die Freude daran haben, kleine Fortschritte zu sehen – denn genau diese Momente machen Simba so besonders. Für Simba gibt es nur noch eine Richtung – nach vorne. Die Vergangenheit und damit viele schlechte Erfahrungen lässt er immer weiter hinter sich. Simba wird kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht mit EU Heimtierausweis vermittelt.
