Numele meu este Sooty. Am fost predat la Bristol ARC când familia mea anterioară nu mai era în măsură să mă îngrijească. Când am venit pentru prima dată eram foarte speriată, dar personalul de la centru mi-a găsit un cămin prietenos unde am rămas până când o nouă familie a fost gata. Din cauza faptului că sunt frică, poate să scâncesc la voi timp de o săptămână sau două, când încercați să vă apropiați de mine, doar însemnă că am nevoie de o clipă. Am nevoie de timp să mă obișnuiesc cu diferite situații. Tot ce vă cer este să mă abordați și să vă faceți cunoscuți atunci când ne întâlnim inițial, să vă apropiați de mine, dar să nu vă întindeți brațele spre mine. Vorbiți blând, coborâți-vă și probabil o să vă las să-mi freciți obrazul. În timpul stării mele de cămin am descoperit că îmi place Radio 4 când sunt singură, dar volumul trebuie să fie scăzut. Rețineți că auzul meu este foarte sensibil. Locurile mele preferate sunt pervazul ferestrei unde pot privi în jos în grădină și să urmăresc toate activitățile, biroul carer-ului meu de cămin și am plăcutul meu roșu tartan pe podea în colț, doar în caz că am nevoie de niște timp pentru mine. Sunt foarte norocoasă să am un scaun negru care se balansează unde îmi place să dorm, de obicei mă așez bine pentru un somn bun la aproximativ 22:30. Îmi place compania, doar să stau lângă cineva mă face să mă deschid. Îmi place să fiu citită și să am timp calitativ cu oamenii mei. Odată ce sunt confortabilă cu voi, un freca pe cap și un atingere pe ureche este preferatul meu și nu sunt contrară unui freca pe burtă. Sun de parcă aș fi o fată drăguță, însă a durat un pic până ajung la acest punct. Mi-a luat 5 săptămâni să mă stabilesc în casa de cămin. Timpul și răbdarea carer-ului meu au avut un rezultat bun și acum mă salut atunci când intră în cameră cu multe vorbe. Când am venit la Bristol ARC aveam o greutate destul de mare de 5 kg, dar am reușit minunat și am pierdut un total de 300g. "*" indică câmpurile obligatorii. My name is Sooty. I was signed over to Bristol ARC when my previous family were no longer able to take care of me. I was very scared when I first arrived but the staff at the centre found me a lovely foster home to stay with until my new family was found. Due to me being afraid I may hiss at you for the first week or so, when you try to approach me, it only means that I need a minute. I need time to get used to different situations. All I ask is that when you do initially meet me, please approach me and make yourself known and get close to me, but don’t outstretch your arms towards me. Speak softly, get low down and I will probably let you rub my cheek. Whilst being in my foster home I have discovered that I love radio 4 when I am on my own, but the volume must be low. Remember my hearing is very sensitive. My favourite places are the window sill so I can look down on the garden and watch all the activities, my foster carer’s work desk and I have my tartan red blanket on the floor in the corner just in case I need some me time. I am very lucky to have a lovely black rocking chair that I like to sleep in, I normally get tucked up for a good night’s sleep at around 10.30. I love company, just to sit next to someone makes me purr. I enjoy being read to and having the quality time with my humans. Once I am comfortable with you, a head rub and an ear tickle is my favourite and I am not opposed to a belly rub. I sound like I am a real cuddly girl; however, it has taken me a while to get to this point. It took me 5 weeks to become settled in my foster home. Time and patience from my carer’s have really paid off and I now greet them when they enter the room with lots of chatter. When I did arrive at Bristol ARC I was quite a weight at 5kg but I have done amazing and have lost a whole 300g.
