Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have the opportunity to present Texas to you. After a year spent in an animal shelter, he found a home, but unfortunately our brave dog didn't cope well with the relationship with cats, and the stress associated with daily life related to isolated cats, the noise from the cages, and disturbances caused everyone in the house to be unhappy. There is no doubt that it was not the best arrangement, and despite the owners' willingness, work, and patience, it was not possible to reach a situation where the dog and cats felt safe. You have to believe us, the caregivers loved him with crazy love, completely forgetting about themselves, giving him all their attention, time, and care. We want to think that it was not a wasted time, thanks to Texas's stay in the home, we know a little more about what conditions this handsome guy needs. We treat it as a lesson and start our search with new strength! Texas is still a puppy with a million emotions that he is just learning to deal with. Home conditions proved difficult for him; at first, he was afraid of all devices, he learned to accept them (except for the hair dryer, we say a firm no to hair dryers). Sounds from the cage or outside the window can also be stressful for him, so he should live in a quiet area. Ideal conditions would be a house with a garden, or a spacious apartment where you don't hear every movement of the neighbors. Texas needs routine and stability, any deviation from the norm greatly stresses him. For now, he has problems being left alone at home. He can also defend everything he considers valuable, such as toys, food, or even people, so his future caregiver should be prepared for work under the supervision of a behaviorist, to build a proper relationship from the beginning. He is distrustful towards strangers, especially if they are on his territory or approaching his people. Texas should remain an only dog in his new home, because he doesn't like sharing his things or the attention of his caregivers. He would also rather not share his home with human children, as he is a bit afraid of them. Walking with Texas is a real pleasure - he comes alive and enjoys himself. Probably, when leaving the apartment, he felt relief. He walks beautifully on a leash, passes people and dogs, and we are still working on calm passing by birds. He quickly learns dog-dog communication, interactions with dogs can be stressful for him, although he handles small dogs very well. He willingly explores, sniffs, splashes in water, and looks for treats in the grass. He pays attention to the leader, happily coming when called. He is not a city dog, he copes well in the city, but he definitely finds himself better on long, quiet walks in the forest, where he can relax and ponder the meaning of life. Texas also loves riding in the car, he even jumped into the car through the window because he couldn't wait for the trip. He loves pine cones, he is a real connoisseur. On walks, he carefully chooses the most beautiful one and proudly carries it. However, pine cones are not just a collectible item, because this dog genius developed his own training method for people using pine cones. For example, just throw a pine cone under the couch and bark loudly to teach a person "lie down" 🙂. Do not be deceived by this individual's extraordinary appearance, Texas is a devilishly smart dog. He learns very quickly, but also gets bored quickly if the training is too repetitive. We are looking for a forever home for our Loebus, where his boundaries will be respected, where he will find silence and peace. A patient and stable caregiver who understands his needs and will work on his fears will surely be rewarded with love forever. If you are ready to work with a dog, enjoy the admiration of passersby over his looks and stomach pain from laughing, Texas is for you. Do you have space on the couch and in your heart for this sweetie? Due to his more demanding character, Texas will need a greater number of introductory walks than specified in the adoption procedure, as well as a home visit.

To niestety nie pierwszy raz kiedy mamy okazję przedstawiać Wam Texasa. Po roku spędzonym w schronisku udało się znaleźć mu dom, ale niestety nasz zuch nie poradził sobie w relacji z kotami, a stres towarzyszący codzienności związanej z izolowaniem kotów, hałasami na klatce i niepokojem spowodował, że wszyscy w domu byli nieszczęśliwi. Niewątpliwie nie był to najlepszy układ i mimo chęci, pracy i cierpliwości jego opiekunów, nie udało się doprowadzić do sytuacji, w której pies i koty czuliby się bezpiecznie. A musicie nam uwierzyć, że opiekunowie kochali go miłością szaloną, zapominając zupełnie o sobie oddawali mu cała uwagę, czas i troskę. Chcemy myśleć że to nie był stracony czas, dzięki pobytowi Texasa w domu wiemy nieco więcej o tym, jakich warunków ten przystojniak potrzebuje. Traktujemy to jako lekcje i z nową siłą rozpoczynamy poszukiwania! Texas jest wciąż psim dzieckiem z milionem emocji z którymi dopiero uczy się sobie radzić. Domowe warunki okazały się dla niego dość trudne, na początku bał się wszystkich urządzeń, nauczył się je akceptować (poza suszarką do włosów, suszarkom mówimy stanowcze nie). Dźwięki na klatce czy za oknem też bywają dla niego stresujące, dlatego powinien zamieszkać w spokojnej okolicy. Idealne warunki to dom z ogrodem, lub przestronne mieszkanie, w którym nie słychać każdego ruchu sąsiadów. Texas potrzebuje rutyny i stabilizacji, wszelkie odstępstwa od normy bardzo go stresują. Póki co ma problemy z zostawaniem samemu w domu. Potrafi też bronić wszystkiego co uważa za cenne jak zabawki, jedzenie czy nawet ludzi, dlatego jego przyszły opiekun powinien nastawić się na pracę pod okiem behawiorysty, aby od początku poprawnie zbudować z nim relacje. Jest nieufny w stosunku do obcych Szczególnie jeśli są na jego terenie albo zbliżają się do jego ludzi. Texas w nowym domu powinien pozostać jedynakiem, ponieważ nie przepada za dzieleniem się swoimi rzeczami czy atencją swoich opiekunów. Wolałby też nie dzielić domu z ludzkimi dziećmi bo trochę się ich obawia. Spacery z Texasem są prawdziwą przyjemnością – wtedy odżywa i cieszy się całym sobą. Prawdopodobnie opuszczając mieszkanie odczuwał ulgę. Pięknie chodzi na smyczy, mija ludzi i psy, nad spokojnym mijaniem ptaków jeszcze pracujemy. Szybko uczy się psio-psiej komunikacji, kontakty z psami bywają dla niego stresujące, chociaż z psimi podbiegaczami radzi sobie bardzo dobrze. Chętnie eksploruje, węszy, tapla się wodzie i szuka smaczków w trawie. Pilnuje się przewodnika, chętnie przybiega na zawołanie. Nie jest typem mieszczucha, w mieście radzi sobie dzielnie, ale zdecydowanie lepiej odnajduje się na długich, spokojnych wędrówkach w lesie, na których może się wyciszyć i rozmyślać nad sensem życia. Texas uwielbia też jeździć samochodem, zdarzyło mu się nawet wskoczyć do auta przez okno bo nie mógł się doczekać wycieczki. Uwielbia szyszki, jest prawdziwym koneserem. Na spacerach z uwagą wybiera najpiękniejszą i dumnie nosi. Jednak szyszki to nie tylko przedmiot kolekcjonerski, bowiem ten psi geniusz opracował autorską metodę trenowania ludzi właśnie za pomocą szyszek. Wystarczy na przykład wrzucić szyszkę pod kanapę i głośno szczekać, żeby nauczyć człowieka „leżeć” 🙂. Niech was nie zmyli nieprzeciętna uroda tego osobnika, Texas to pies piekielnie inteligentny. Uczy się bardzo szybko, ale też dość szybko się nudzi jeśli trening jest zbyt powtarzalny. Szukamy dla naszego Łobuza domu na zawsze, w którym będą respektowane jego granice, w którym znajdzie ciszę i spokój. Cierpliwemu i stabilnemu opiekunowi który zrozumie jego potrzeby i będzie pracował nad straszkami, Texas na pewno odwdzięczy się miłością na zawsze. Jeśli jesteś gotów na pracę z psem, zachwyty przechodniów nad jego urodą i ból brzucha ze śmiechu, Texas jest dla ciebie. Masz miejsce na kanapie i w sercu dla tego słodziaka? W związku z bardziej wymagającym charakterem, Texas będzie potrzebował większej ilości spacerów zapoznawczych, niż ta określona w procedurze adopcji, jak również wizyty domowej.
