Tilly is looking for an active and committed home that can provide her with the exercise, routine, and mental enrichment she needs to thrive. She’s a bright and people-focused girl who will benefit from ongoing training around lead walking, calm greetings, and settling when excited. She already knows a few tricks, is very engaged with people, and is likely to enjoy learning new things, especially when food or toys are involved. Tilly will need some encouragement with her toilet training and prefers to toilet on a walk or on grass only in the garden. Tilly is comfortable sleeping in her crate, and can be left for short periods once settled into a routine. Tilly also enjoys having cosy quiet time and loves burrowing under blankets when relaxing after a busy day. Tilly would suit adopters who enjoy fun, interactive dogs and are prepared for all the energy and entertainment that comes with a young terrier. With structure, patience, and lots of positive experiences, she has all the potential to become a wonderfully loyal, loving, and entertaining companion. Tilly is a lively and affectionate young Jack Russell Terrier with lots of personality and a huge love for people. She’s an energetic, playful girl who enjoys being involved in family life and will happily join in with whatever you’re doing. Tilly loves attention, games, toys, sniffy walks, and splashing in streams, and she would likely enjoy activities that keep both her mind and body busy. Like many young terriers, Tilly can become overexcited at times and is still learning how to channel all of her enthusiasm appropriately. She may jump up or become vocal when greeting people or during play, so she’ll need owners who can continue helping her learn calm manners through positive reinforcement training. She can initially be a little unsure in some new situations, but she warms up well when given time and gentle introductions. Tilly enjoys the company of other dogs and has shown friendly, playful behaviour when meeting them, although she can become overstimulated if play gets too exciting. Tilly can live with children and has previously been friendly and playful with younger family members, though due to her excitable nature she would be best suited to dog-savvy children.
