18-07-26 Uma is a gorgeous girl who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. She can be a little shy when you first meet her, but it doesn't take long before her playful side begins to appear. After a few minutes, she'll often invite you to play with a sweet little play bow. Uma enjoys gentle handling and is happy to take treats from our hands, although she does appreciate people taking things slowly when picking her up. Her favourite thing is to sit right next to you for fusses Uma loses confidence when she is away from her doggy friends, so she will need another kind and confident resident dog in the home to help her feel safe and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in. She has a lovely fun personality that's just waiting to come out. We would consider homing her with gentle, dog savvy teenagers. As Uma has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, practice her skills walking, and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to be patient while she adjusts to her new surroundings and discovers everything that home life has to offer. Uma has arrived slightly overweight, so she will need a good diet and gentle exercise to help her reach and maintain a healthy weight. This will need to be continued in her new home. Uma is a real sweetheart with so much potential. She's already showing us glimpses of the happy, playful dog she is, and with the support of another dog and a patient family, we hope her confidence will continue to grow. She has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
