Adoptă Willow

Meet Willow, a larger than life character who is looking for owners to match her zest for life and energy levels. Willow is a Portuguese Pedengo cross - a breed known for being lively, agile, and highly intelligent Hounds and their loyalty and strong hunting instincts. Willow loves people and will greet them enthusiastically, often jumping up to greet or to try to lick faces. With dogs she is less forwards and can take time to warm up and want to play. She sometimes prefers to keep to herself and will not enjoy walks where there are lots of dogs running around. In her previous home, Willow was housetrained and her owners described her as very affectionate and a little needy at times, often following her owners around. She is used to spending periods of time outside and her owners will need to understand that she'll need patience as she settles into her new routine and home life. Willow has a very high prey drive and will chase wildlife, so she'll need to be kept on lead on her walks and have access to a very secure garden at home, though she does like to dig holes so wouldn't be for the garden-proud owner. Due to her high energy levels and need to run, it may be a good idea for her owners to hire secure dog fields where she can really stretch her legs and have some fun. Willow previously loved her food and would do a 'sit' for a treat and she also knows the word 'treat' and got very excited. Her motivation for food has not been seen much here at Battersea but we're sure this will return when finds her feet at home. This lovely girl has tonnes of energy and affection to give and needs a home with owners who have a good understanding working dogs that need plenty of attention and time.
