Levi je středně velký kříženec narozený v únoru 2023. Levi přišel k nám ve věku šesti měsíců ze smíšeného útesu Botosani v Rumunsku. Když byl dítětem, byl vyhazován jako odpad a strávil své první týdny a měsíce v znečištěných podmínkách bez nebo téměř bez lidského kontaktu. Když dorazil do Velké Británie, měl strach z lidí a trvalo několik týdnů, než se dostal do bodu, kde byl připraven najít své pevné domov. Od té doby, co byl jeho album umístěno, neměl žádné dotazy a bohužel vyrůstal v naší péči. Levi je nyní zábavný chlap, který užívá si být kolem lidí, které dobře zná. Je sám sobě a hraje si s námi, ale stále je velmi nedůvěřivý vůči cizím lidem kvůli svému minulosti. Levi rád hrává s dalšími psy ve svém fosterském domě a bude potřebovat společníka, který bude zhruba stejně hravý v novém domě. Nebereme v úvahu domov pro něj, který nemá již obydlí psa. Rád má své hračky a má skvělé časy na procházkách v lokálních lesích. Bude velmi opatrný, když někdo přijde k němu, a proto potřebuje někoho, kdo dokáže vidět mimo toto k psu, který jednoho dne bude. opravdu udělal tak dalekou cestu za krátkou dobu a bude pokračovat v růstu s někým, kdo mu dá čas, lásku a hovězí vývar. Podmínky a pravidla pro adopci Při adopci psa Safe Rescue musíte použít posuvné řetězy. To vás ochrání: váš nový pes bude nervózní a nevěří vám, a nevíte, které situace mohou vašeho psa vzrušit. Pokud váš pes zpanikaří, pak posuvné řetězy jsou jediný způsob, jak zabránit upuštění vašeho psa (mnoho psů může uniknout z ocelového proužku a/nebo sedačky). Bude trvat minimálně 3-6 měsíců, než se váš pes usadí a vy ho plně poznáte (delší pro nervózní psy). Posuvné řetězy musí být vždy použity během tohoto období usazování. I poté, co se váš pes usadí, je nejbezpečnější použít posuvné řetězy v situacích, kdy se váš pes může bát (např. návštěva nových míst, kolem neznámých lidí, u veterináře), nebo v situacích, kde mohou nastat neočekávané triggerové situace (např. v blízkosti ohňostrojů). Nervózní psi mohou vždy nosit posuvné řetězy jako záložní bezpečnostní opatření. Posuvné řetězy jsou bezpečnostní zařízení a nikdy nesmí být použity jako nástroj tréninku. Použití řetězu k aplikaci tlaku na šíji psa je škodlivé. Pokud váš pes táhne řetězem, můžeme vám doporučit tréninkové metody, které zabrání škodě. Jakmile se váš pes usadí, můžete zvážit použití sedačky (spolu s posuvným řetězem), pokud pes snese manipulaci při jejím nasazení. Většina sedaček není uniknutelná, ale sedačky se zadním řemenným pásy (např. Ruffwear Webmaster nebo Perfect Fit Sedáky) jsou bezpečnější. Retrakční / rozšiřovací řetězy nesmí být použity na naše psy. Adopce psa musí být vybrány z zachráněného místa a převezeny přímo domů v bezpečném kovovém korytku. Having been discarded like rubbish as a baby, he spent his first weeks and months in the squalid conditions there with little to no human interaction. When he arrived in the UK he was terrified of humans and it took several weeks to get him to the point where he was ready to find his forever home. Since his album went up he’s had no enquiries and has sadly grown up in our care. Levi is now a fun loving boy who enjoys being around people he knows well. He is cheeky and playful with us but still very unsure strangers due to his past. Levi loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home and will need a reasonably playful companion in his new home. We would not consider a home for him that doesn’t already have a resident dog. He loves his toys and has a wonderful time on walks in local woods. He will be very cautious when anyone comes to see him and so needs someone who can see beyond this to the dog he will one day become. He really has come such a long way in a short space of time and will continue to thrive with someone willing to give him time, love and sausages. Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
