Shelby arrived very underweight following removal from an abusive situation. Despite his difficult start in life, he has lost none of his gentleness or love for humans. Today, he is slowly regaining strength, though he still struggles to gain weight despite his excellent appetite (he is quite food-motivated!). He needs an attentive, patient, and caring family who will continue his medical follow-up and provide the stability he deserves. He is also a very powerful dog due to his size, so he needs adopters capable of handling him physically and providing a consistent, reassuring environment. Dog and cat compatibility tests not performed. Shelby wants nothing more than to turn the page and finally discover what it means to be loved, respected and protected.
