Xirius del Matochar je pohledný mladý samec plemene Breton, je mu teprve tři roky, datum narození je 02/11/22. Xirius je aktivní a plný energie, rád běhá a čmuchá. Je společenský s ostatními psy a v současné době sdílí kotce se svým bratrem Xenonem. Je velmi milý a láskyplný k lidem, neustále hledá pohlazení a mazlení. Je poslušný, když je zavolán v rámci útulku. Xirius a jeho bratr Xenon pocházejí od chovatele plemene Breton poblíž Madridu. Nedávno jsme se dozvěděli, že chovatel byl vyhoštěn ze své půdy a jeho 33 Bretonů bylo v ohrožení. Podařilo se mu přestěhovat 15 psů a společně s dalšími dvěma záchranami jsme nabídli převzetí zbývajících 18 psů. Chovatel je přivezl na sever Španělska a SeBPRA převzala 11 z nich. Jsou to všichni čistokrevní psi a budou používáni k lovu, chovu a vystavování. Někteří psi mají titul šampiona a certifikaci PAN (Prueba de Aptitudes Naturales (Natural Aptitudes Test), což je oficiální zkouška v terénu, která posuzuje přirozené lovecké instinkty psa a je obvykle povinná předtím, než pes může požádat o titul šampiona. Zajišťuje, aby plemena s dvojím účelem stále zachovávala pracovní plemenné vlastnosti. Víme, že Poker, Roma, Tormenta a Xiloe byli vystaveni, ale plemeno Breton je skutečně plemeno s dvojím účelem, takže tito psi jsou stejně pravděpodobně v minulém víkendu na lovu jako v výstavním kruhu.

Xirius del Matochar is a handsome young male Brittany, just three years old, his date of birth is 02/11/22. Xirius is an active and energetic little dog who loves to run and sniff everything. He is sociable with other dogs and currently shares a kennel with his brother Xenon. He is very affectionate and loving with people, constantly seeking cuddles and affection. He is obedient when called within the confines of the shelter. Xirius and his brother Xenon, come from a Brittany breeder near Madrid. We recently heard that the breeder was being evicted from his land and his 33 Brittanys were at risk. He managed to rehome 15 of the dogs and together with two other rescues we offered to take the remaining 18 dogs. The breeder brought them up to the north of Spain and SeBPRA took on 11 of the Brittanys. All are pedigree dogs, and they will have been used for hunting, breeding and showing. Several of the dogs have Champion titles and PAN certification (Prueba de Aptitudes Naturales (Natural Aptitudes Test), an official field evaluation that assesses a dog’s natural hunting instincts and is usually mandatory before a dog can claim a Champion show title. It ensures that dual purpose breeds still retain the working breed qualities. We know Poker, Roma, Tormenta, Xiloe, and Xirius have been shown, however the Brittany is a true dual purpose breed, so these dogs are just as likely to have been out hunting last weekend as in the show ring.
