Deacon er en virkelig elskelig dreng med et stort hjerte, klar til at finde det evige hjem, han fortjener. Han er en ægte "elsk mig"-dreng, der hilser både kendte ansigter og nye mennesker med tillid og varme. Deacon trives på menneskelig interaktion og nyder absolut en god opmærksomhed og masser af kærlighed. Han elsker sin tid ude i paddock, hvor han kan strække benene og hygge sig. Legetid er en stor del af hans dag, især med legetøj, han kan tygge godt på! Deacon nyder også berigelsesaktiviteter som snuslemåtter og frosne Kongs, som er en fantastisk måde at binde sig til ham på og samtidig holde hans sind i gang. Deacon har tilbragt en kort tid i et hjem, hvorfra vi har lært, at Deacon har brug for ejere det meste af tiden for at hjælpe ham med at falde til i hjemmet, og enhver afgangstid skal bygges op meget gradvist. Deacon har været på en række rolige udendørs eventyr og har vist, at han går godt i snor og forbliver engageret med sin fører. Han nyder at udforske nye omgivelser ved at snuse, han vil have brug for fortsat støtte og vejledning omkring andre hunderacer, og rolige gåture vil bedst passe til Deacon. Deacon has now spent a few weeks with one of our dedicated foster carers, and we have already learnt so much about this lovely boy! His foster carers describe him as a bubbly, happy and confident boy who brings wonderful energy wherever he goes. He is friendly and confident when meeting both familiar and new people and has settled happily into a home with two teenagers. Deacon has adapted really well to home life and is enjoying learning all about the routines and experiences that come with being part of a family. He is making great progress with his housetraining and is proving to be a very affectionate boy who loves nothing more than a fuss from his foster carers. He is currently living alongside a female Greyhound and they are getting on brilliantly. Deacon often looks to her for guidance and happily follows her lead. He has also been enjoying exploring the local area and walks nicely on lead. Deacon will need his new family to continue supporting and guiding him when around other breeds of dog, and quieter walking routes with fewer dogs around would be best suited to him while he continues to build his confidence and experience. Deacon is also learning that it is okay to spend some time on his own. His foster carers have gradually built this up and he can currently be left for around two hours. His new family will need to continue this training at his own pace. Deacon really is a pure delight. He is affectionate, happy, confident and full of character, and we know that the lucky family who welcomes him into their home will have a wonderful companion by their side.
