Deacon korzysta również z zajęć stymulujących, takich jak maty węchowe i mrożone kongi, które są doskonałym sposobem na zacieśnienie więzi z nim, a jednocześnie zachęcają go do aktywności umysłowej. Deacon spędził trochę czasu w domu, z którego dowiadujemy się, że będzie potrzebował właścicieli przez większość czasu, aby pomóc mu zaaklimatyzować się w nowym domu, a wszelkie dłuższe wyjścia będą musiały być wprowadzane bardzo stopniowo. Deacon odbył już kilka spokojniejszych przygód poza domem i pokazał, że dobrze chodzi na smyczy, pozostając skupiony na swoim opiekunie. Uwielbia eksplorować nowe otoczenie poprzez wąchanie, będzie potrzebował stałej pomocy i wsparcia w kontaktach z innymi rasami psów, a spokojne spacery będą najlepszym rozwiązaniem dla Deacona. Deacon has now spent a few weeks with one of our dedicated foster carers, and we have already learnt so much about this lovely boy! His foster carers describe him as a bubbly, happy and confident boy who brings wonderful energy wherever he goes. He is friendly and confident when meeting both familiar and new people and has settled happily into a home with two teenagers. Deacon has adapted really well to home life and is enjoying learning all about the routines and experiences that come with being part of a family. He is making great progress with his housetraining and is proving to be a very affectionate boy who loves nothing more than a fuss from his foster carers. He is currently living alongside a female Greyhound and they are getting on brilliantly. Deacon often looks to her for guidance and happily follows her lead. He has also been enjoying exploring the local area and walks nicely on lead. Deacon will need his new family to continue supporting and guiding him when around other breeds of dog, and quieter walking routes with fewer dogs around would be best suited to him while he continues to build his confidence and experience. Deacon is also learning that it is okay to spend some time on his own. His foster carers have gradually built this up and he can currently be left for around two hours. His new family will need to continue this training at his own pace. Deacon really is a pure delight. He is affectionate, happy, confident and full of character, and we know that the lucky family who welcomes him into their home will have a wonderful companion by their side.
