5 år gammel Forest er en Malamute-krydsning, der kom til Centeret uden egen skyld. Forest har karakter og lover at gøre dig glade, han er en rigtig lattermus og elsker at spille og løbe rundt med fluede legetøjer. Alle hans plejere elsker ham og han har været overnatende hos en af vores hundepersonale og sover godt om aftenen og viser tegn på at være husetrænet. Han elsker at klemme og sove på sofaen; han var den perfekte gæst. Forest elsker sit mad, men kan være lidt snæbber omkring mærker. Forest vil ikke have at blive alene under indvandringen, alene tid skal bygges op gradvist over tid, når han er indvandret i sit nye hjem. Han er ikke 100% husetrænet, så han vil have genoptræning i sit nye hjem, dog rejser han godt i bilen og hopper ind af egen kraft. Hans favorittinger er at udforske på ture, at spille med sine favoritfolk og andre hunde: at svømme i vand og at slappe af med en kæmpe. Han vil være en meget belønning til den rette nye familie. Flot Forest søger et hjem med voksne kun, ingen besøgende børn. Han behøver et stille hjem med få eller ingen gæster og har planer i orden, hvis gæster kommer. Forest elsker at være udenfor, så en privat sikker have er ideel for ham. Forest har desværre været i båse i lang tid, så han søger en familie, der har forståelse og oplevelse med adoptionshunde, mundige adfærder og rassekendskab. Vores træningshold arbejder tæt sammen med Forest for at holde hans gode fremskridt, nye adoptorer skal være med på hans træning og ledelse. Han er fuldt ud mundertrænet og skal have munder i offentlige områder, da han har vist aggresion mod ukendte på grund af sin frygt for nye folk - dog klarer han sig meget godt med at se ukendte fra afstand og har en introduktionsplan for at møde nye folk. Forest er under medicinsk behandling for heftesvind, hvilket vil have ekstra omkostninger for potentielle adoptører. Forest gør det fantastisk godt med sin træning, han elsker både fysisk og mental stimulans, han er en smart og glad hund, der elsker at lære nye ting. Han går meget pænt på snor, men kan være enkelte gange stærk, så nye adoptorer skal kunne håndtere hans styrke. Han kan leve med en anden hund af lignende alder, hvis succesfuld introduktion sker på vores center, men ikke katte eller små pelsdyr.

5 year old Forest is a Malamute Crossbreed who came into the Centre through no fault of his own. Forest is full of character and is guaranteed to make you laugh, he is a proper goof ball and loves playing and running around with fluffy toys. All of his handlers love him and he has had overnight stays with one of our canine carers and settles well at night and shows signs of being housetrained. He loved a cuddle and a snooze on the sofa; he was the perfect house guest. Forest loves his food but can be bit snatchy around treats. Forest does not like being left alone while settling in, time alone will need to be build up slowly over time once he is settled in his new home. He is not 100% housetrained so will need refresher training in his new home however he does travels well in the car and will jump in on his own. His favourite things to do are exploring on walks, playing with his favorite people and other dogs: paddling in water and relaxing with a chew. He will make a very rewarding addition to a the right new family. Fabulous Forest is looking for an adult only home with no visiting children. He needs a quiet home with little to no visitors and have plans in place if visitors do come round. Forest loves spending time outside so a private secure garden is ideal for him. Forest has unfortunately spent a long time in kennels so is looking for a family who has understanding and experience with rescue dogs, mouthy behaviours and breed knowledge. Our training team work closely with forest to keep up all of his good work, new adopters would have to be on board with his training and management in place. He is fully muzzle trained and will need to be muzzled out in public places as he has shown aggression towards strangers due to his fear of new people - however he copes very well with seeing strangers at a distance and has a introduction plan for meeting new people. Forest is on medical management for hip dysplasia that will have additional costs to potential adopters to consider. Forest is doing amazingly well with his training, he enjoys both physical and mental stimulation he is a clever cookie and enjoys learns new things. He walks very nicely on lead but can occasional be strong so will need new adopters to be able to handle his strength. He can live with another dog of similar pending as successful introduction at our center but no cats or small furries.
