5 år gammal Forest är en Malamute-korsning som kom in på Centret utan någon anledning. Forest har mycket karaktär och garanterat kommer att få dig att skratta, han är en riktig knullare och älskar att spela och springa runt med mjuka leksaker. Alla hans vakter älskar honom och han har haft övernattningar hos en av våra hundvårdare och sover bra på natten och visar tecken på att vara toalettränad. Han älskar en kram och en sov på soffan; han var den perfekta gästen i hemmet. Forest älskar mat men kan vara lite snål kring godis. Forest tycker inte om att vara ensam när han sätter sig in, tiden ensam måste byggas upp långsamt över tid när han är inhyrd i sitt nya hem. Han är inte 100 procent toalettränad så behöver förnyelseträning i sitt nya hem, men han reser bra i bilen och hoppar in själv. Hans favorit saker att göra är att utforska på promenader, spela med sina favoritpersoner och andra hundar: paddla i vatten och vila med en tandlapp. Han kommer att vara en mycket belönande tillkomst till rätt ny familj. Fabelaktiga Forest söker ett hem med vuxna endast, inga besökande barn. Han behöver ett stilla hem med få eller inga besökare och har planer i ställ om besökare kommer. Forest älskar att vara utomhus så en privat säker trädgård är idealiskt för honom. Forest har olyckligtvis varit i katter länge så söker en familj som har förståelse och erfarenhet av räddningshundar, munskryt och ras kunskap. Vårt träningsteam arbetar nära med Forest för att fortsätta alla hans bra arbete, nya adoptanter måste vara med på hans träning och han har en full munsmyckstränad och behöver ha munsmyck på i offentliga platser eftersom han har visat aggresion mot främlingar på grund av sin rädsla för nya människor – dock han hanterar mycket väl att se främlingar på avstånd och har en introduktionsplan för att möta nya människor. Forest är på medicinsk behandling för höftdysplasi vilket kommer att ha ytterligare kostnader för potentiella adoptanter att ta hänsyn till. Forest gör det fantastiskt med sin träning, han gillar både fysisk och mentala stimulans, han är en smart kaka och gillar att lära sig nya saker. Han går väldigt trevligt på leken men kan ibland vara stark så nya adoptanter behöver kunna hantera hans styrka. Han kan bo med en annan hund av liknande typ som en lyckad introduktion på vår center men inga katter eller små pärlor.

5 year old Forest is a Malamute Crossbreed who came into the Centre through no fault of his own. Forest is full of character and is guaranteed to make you laugh, he is a proper goof ball and loves playing and running around with fluffy toys. All of his handlers love him and he has had overnight stays with one of our canine carers and settles well at night and shows signs of being housetrained. He loved a cuddle and a snooze on the sofa; he was the perfect house guest. Forest loves his food but can be bit snatchy around treats. Forest does not like being left alone while settling in, time alone will need to be build up slowly over time once he is settled in his new home. He is not 100% housetrained so will need refresher training in his new home however he does travels well in the car and will jump in on his own. His favourite things to do are exploring on walks, playing with his favorite people and other dogs: paddling in water and relaxing with a chew. He will make a very rewarding addition to a the right new family. Fabulous Forest is looking for an adult only home with no visiting children. He needs a quiet home with little to no visitors and have plans in place if visitors do come round. Forest loves spending time outside so a private secure garden is ideal for him. Forest has unfortunately spent a long time in kennels so is looking for a family who has understanding and experience with rescue dogs, mouthy behaviours and breed knowledge. Our training team work closely with forest to keep up all of his good work, new adopters would have to be on board with his training and management in place. He is fully muzzle trained and will need to be muzzled out in public places as he has shown aggression towards strangers due to his fear of new people - however he copes very well with seeing strangers at a distance and has a introduction plan for meeting new people. Forest is on medical management for hip dysplasia that will have additional costs to potential adopters to consider. Forest is doing amazingly well with his training, he enjoys both physical and mental stimulation he is a clever cookie and enjoys learns new things. He walks very nicely on lead but can occasional be strong so will need new adopters to be able to handle his strength. He can live with another dog of similar pending as successful introduction at our center but no cats or small furries.
