Black cats are, for some, marvelous miniature panthers, while for others they’re devilish bringers of bad luck. As for us—people who aren’t superstitious—we see our splendid Fransis as nothing more than an adorable all-black kitten with a perpetually curious expression etched on his face. Soft and fond of gentle cuddles, he showed up in August 2018 as a stray in a feline colony in Bagnolo Piemonte—but it was clear at once that he wasn’t a wild cat.
