Kazu er en 8 måned gammel mandlig japansk Akita Inu, der leder efter et nyt hjem uden noget skyld på hans side. Det er desværre et eksempel på, hvad der kan ske, når en valp ikke får den tid, anstrengelse, socialisering og træning, som han har brug for fra starten. Det er en skam, for Kazu er faktisk en rigtig flink ung hund, der virkelig vil gøre sin bedste. Som mange unge valpe kan Kazu være lidt larmende og mangler stadig nogle grundlæggende måder. Med det rette lederskab kan dette helt sikkert forbedres. Han har brug for en ejer, der vil give faste men retfærdige grænser og hjælpe ham med at lære reglerne for at være en velbalanceret og høflig Akita Inu-pige. Nogen, der vil investere i tiden, tålmodigheden og konsekvent træning i Kazu, vil hjælpe ham med at blomstre og sandt opfylde hans rassepotentiale. På grund af hans livlige og larmende natur ville Kazu passe bedst til et hjem med hundesikre børn på 12 år og opad. En aktiv og rimeligvis fysisk fitte ejer ville også passe ham godt, da han vil have fordel af regelmæssig øvelse, engagere og videre træning. Kazu ville ikke passe til at bo i et lejlighed, og han vil være bedst i et hjem med passende plads og et sikret have med 6 fod højde, hvor han kan hvile og fortsætte med at lære om verden på egen hånd. Kazu skal være den eneste husdyr i hjemmet. Han har vist tendens til at jage katte og havde ikke god relation til den nuværende mandlige hund i hans tidligere hjem. Han kan også være reaktiv over for andre hunde, så kontinuerlig management og træning vil være vigtigt. Denne flotte unge dreng har meget potentiale og meget kærlighed at give. I det rette hjem med det rette lederskab og engagement kan Kazu gro til at blive en vidunderlig kompanjong og en vidunderlig repræsentant for sin rasse. Kazu is a 1 year old male Japanese Akita Inu with a big personality, a clever mind, and so much potential. Sadly, he is a young dog who has missed out on some of the early guidance, structure, and training that puppies need in order to grow into confident and well mannered adults. Despite this, Kazu is a genuinely lovely young dog who wants to learn, engage, and build a strong bond with his people. Like many adolescent Akitas, Kazu is currently full of enthusiasm and can be boisterous at times. He is still learning his manners and boundaries, but this handsome boy is eager to please and responds brilliantly to positive, consistent guidance. Since arriving in our care, our volunteers have been spending time working with Kazu and he has already shown how intelligent and eager to learn he is. Once his initial excitement settles, his focus improves greatly and he responds very well to positive reinforcement. He is highly food motivated, enjoys training sessions, and is already happy to offer a paw in return for a tasty reward. Kazu is looking for an owner who understands the Japanese Akita Inu breed and is prepared to invest the time, patience, and consistency needed to help him become the well balanced companion we know he can be. With the right leadership and ongoing training, he has every chance to flourish into a wonderful ambassador for his breed. Due to his lively nature, Kazu would be best suited to a home with dog savvy children aged 12 years and over. He would also benefit from an active and reasonably fit owner who can provide him with regular exercise, mental stimulation, and continued training opportunities. Kazu is not suited to life in a flat and will need a home with plenty of space and a secure garden with 6ft fencing where he can safely relax and continue learning about the world around him at his own pace. He will need to be the only pet in the home. Kazu has shown a tendency to chase cats and did not get along with the resident male dog in his previous home. He can also be reactive towards other dogs, so ongoing management and sensible handling around other animals will be essential. Underneath the excitement and typical adolescent behaviour is a loving young Japanese Akita Inu with a huge amount of potential. Kazu simply needs an owner who will see the wonderful dog he can become and give him the time, patience, and commitment he deserves.
