Another broken cat soul - our Marie. We accepted Maria a few weeks ago from Drast, a town near our shelter. She is not the first or last cat from this area, we cooperate there with a order of nuns who take care of stray cats with our help. Marie is not from the nuns, Maria was found by a kind woman accidentally. She was limping and it was clear that her paw hurt. We took her in and the first thing she did was eat a whole treat, she was so hungry that she would have easily eaten a kilo of food. We thought it would be clear, that it would be another fracture, although they are expensive to treat, cats usually recover from them. Unfortunately everything is different. Marie has a fracture, but an old fracture of the tail which has already healed - and not badly. Unfortunately when she injured her tail, the injury damaged a nerve that continues into her hind legs. Although her legs are healthy, Marie has pain in them - something like people after amputation. It seems like an unsolvable situation. Maria's leg hurts, and she relieves it. Sometimes she uses it, but she always needs breaks to lie in her bed. Gradually improving, she is now able to run during the day, but in the evening she always crawls onto the blanket and needs a break. We would like to find a home for Maria, but it can't be just any home. Marie needed everything within reach, so that when her leg hurt, she didn't have to go far for food and the toilet. Fortunately, as time passed, Marie learned to manage her leg. She still doesn't move as smoothly as a normal cat, but she jumps anywhere she needs to. Definitely can't be an outdoor cat, she wouldn't escape danger. But in all other aspects, she is ready to go to a new home.

Další zlomená kočičí duše - naše Marie. Marii jsme přijali před pár týdný z Drastů, městečka poblíž našeho útulku. Není to první ani poslední kočka z této lokality, spolupracujeme tam s řádem jeptišek, které se s naší pomocí starají o kočky bez domova. Marie ale není od jeptišek, Marii našla hodná paní náhodou. Kulhala a bylo vidět, že jí bolí nožička. Přijali jsme ji k nám a první co udělala, bylo, že zhltla hned kapsičku, byla chudák tak hladová, že by klidně snědla kilo žrádla. Mysleli jsme, že to bude jasné, že to bude opět nějaká zlomenina, ty jsou sice na léčbu nákladné, ale kočky se z ní dostanou. Ale bohužel je všechno jinak. Marie má zlomeninu, ale starou zlomeninu ocasu, která už srostla - a ne špatně. Bohužel když si zranila ocásek, úraz jí poškodil nerv, který pokračuje do její zadní packy. Ačkoliv je packa zdravá, Marie v ní má bolesti - něco jako lidé po amputaci. Je to zdánlivě neřešitelná situace. Marušku nožka bolí, odlehčuje ji. Někdy ji používá, potřebuje ale vždycky přestávky na ležení v pelíšku. Postupně se zlepšuje, už je schopná běhat přes den, ale k večeru si vždycky zaleze na dečku a potřebuje pauzu. Chtěli bychom pro Marušku najít domov, ale domov to nemůže být ledajaký. Marie potřebovala mít všechno v dosahu, aby kdyby jí nožka zrovna bolela, nemusela chodit daleko pro jídlo a na záchod. Naštěstí jak šel čas, tak Marie svojí nožku rozchodila. Pořád se nepohybuje tak ladně jako normální kočka, ale vyskočí všude, kde potřebuje. Určitě nemůže být venkovní kočka, před nebezpečím by neutekla. Ale ze všech ostatních stran je připravena odjet do nového domova.
