June 2026 Pino underwent an operation in May on his left front paw. A steel plate was used to stabilize his leg so that he can now bear more weight on it and have a more upright stance while walking. In the meantime, he had to temporarily switch foster homes, as his foster mom is going on a longer overseas trip. The little brave prince has handled the post-op effects well, but he still needs about three more weeks of physical rest. Currently, he lives in his own spacious nomad tent, which requires a lot of patience from him, as he would very much like to play and run around. Another X-ray will be conducted, but we are optimistic that the result will be very good. The treating veterinarian also sees the necessity to operate on Pino's right elbow, where the bones have not fused together, in the foreseeable future. This would give Pino a good chance at a nearly normal cat life. We wish him this, but it is very costly. What we also wish heartily for the barely one-year-old Pino is that he can finally move into a forever home with a loving family. The sociable and playful tomcat, who always seeks human company and needs lots of play and cuddles, is currently underutilized at his foster home, which is, of course, also due to the housing situation. Pino has great trust in humans; he opens up immediately and is simply a treasure. With his charm and his cheerful need to communicate, he wins all cat lovers over with his paws. Since he arrived in Germany, he has not had such perfect experiences with fellow animals and is at risk of becoming a solitary prince. The circumstances have led to the fact that in this first crucial year of socialization, he was not able to meet any age-matched playmates.

Juni 2026 Pino wurde im Mai an seiner linken Vorderpfote operiert. Durch eine Stahlplatte konnte sein Beinchen so stabilisiert werden, dass er es zukünftig deutlich besser belasten kann und eine aufrechtere Position beim Laufen haben wird. Inzwischen musste er, zumindest vorübergehend, seine Pflegestelle wechseln, da seine Pflegemama einen längeren Auslandsaufenthalt hat. Der kleine tapfere Prinz hat die OP-Folgen gut gemeistert , ist aber noch für ca. drei Wochen auf körperliche Schonung angewiesen. Derzeit lebt er in seinem eigenen, geräumigen Nomadenzelt, was ihm einiges an Geduld abverlangt, denn er würde schon sehr gerne herumtollen und spielen . Es wird noch ein Kontroll-Röntgen erfolgen, aber wir gehen davon aus, dass das Ergebnis sehr gut ist. Dennoch sieht der behandelnde Arzt die Notwendigkeit auch Pinos rechten Ellenbogen, bei dem die Knochen nicht miteinander verwachsen sind, in absehbarer Zeit zu operieren . Damit hätte Pino eine richtig gute Chance auf ein fast ganz normales Katzenleben. Das wünschen wir ihm sehr, ist aber sehr kostspielig. Was wir dem knapp einjährigen Pino genauso von Herzen wünschen ist, dass er endlich auch bei einer lieben Familie in ein Für-Immer-Zuhause einziehen darf. Der gesellige und lustige Kater, der immer die Nähe des Menschen sucht und viele Spiel- und Streicheleinheiten braucht, ist auf seiner Pflegestelle deutlich unterfordert, was momentan natürlich auch an der Gehege-Haltung liegt. Pino hat großes Vertrauen in Menschen , er öffnet sich gleich und ist einfach ein Goldschatz . Mit seinem Charme und seinem fröhlichen Mitteilungsbedürfnis wickelt er alle Katzenliebhaber um seine Pfötchen. Seit er in Deutschland ist, hat er mit Artgenossen nicht so perfekte Erfahrungen machen können und läuft Gefahr sich zu einem Einzelprinz zu entwickeln. Die Umstände hatten es so ergeben, dass er in diesem ersten wichtigen Jahr der Sozialisation keine gleichaltrigen Spielgefährten kennenlernen durfte. Dennoch wünsche ich mir für Pino ein
