June 2026 Pino underwent an operation in May on his left front paw. A steel plate was used to stabilize his leg so that he can now bear more weight on it and have a more upright stance while walking. In the meantime, he had to temporarily switch foster homes, as his foster mom is going on a longer overseas trip. The little brave prince has handled the post-op effects well, but he still needs about three more weeks of physical rest. Currently, he lives in his own spacious nomad tent, which requires a lot of patience from him, as he would very much like to play and run around. Another X-ray will be conducted, but we are optimistic that the result will be very good. The treating veterinarian also sees the necessity to operate on Pino's right elbow, where the bones have not fused together, in the foreseeable future. This would give Pino a good chance at a nearly normal cat life. We wish him this, but it is very costly. What we also wish heartily for the barely one-year-old Pino is that he can finally move into a forever home with a loving family. The sociable and playful tomcat, who always seeks human company and needs lots of play and cuddle, is currently underutilized at his foster home, which is, of course, also due to the housing situation. Pino has great trust in humans; he opens up immeediately and is simply a treasure. With his charm and his cheerful need to communicate, he wins all cat lovers over with his paws. Since he arrived in Germany, he has not had such perfect experiences with fellow animals and is at risk of becoming a soli tarian cat. The circumstances have led to the fact that in this first crucial year of socialization, he was not able to meet any age-matched playmate.

Juli 2026 Pino wurde im Mai erfolgreich an seiner linken Vorderpfote operiert. Durch eine Stahlplatte konnte sein Beinchen so stabilisiert werden, dass er es zukünftig deutlich besser belasten kann. Dennoch sieht der behandelnde Arzt die Notwendigkeit auch Pinos rechten Ellenbogen, bei dem die Knochen nicht miteinander verwachsen sind, in absehbarer Zeit zu operieren . Damit hätte Pino deutlich bessere Chancen auf ein schmerzfreies Leben . Unser Ziel ist es vor allem, dass Pino noch viele gute Jahre ohne chronische Schmerzen leben kann. Denn Pino wird durch seine angeborene Fehlbildung immer ein Handicap haben. Was wir dem einjährigen Pino genauso von Herzen wünschen ist, dass er endlich auch bei einer lieben Familie in ein Für-Immer-Zuhause einziehen darf. Pino ist ein geselliger und lustiger Kater, der immer die Nähe des Menschen sucht und viele Spiel- und Streicheleinheiten braucht. Pino hat großes Vertrauen in Menschen , und ist einfach ein Goldschatz . Mit seinem Charme und seinem fröhlichen Mitteilungsbedürfnis wickelt er alle Katzenliebhaber um seine Pfötchen. Seit er in Deutschland ist, haben es die Umstände so ergeben, dass er in diesem ersten wichtigen Jahr der Sozialisation keine gleichaltrigen Spielgefährten kennenlernen durfte. Das fehlt dem süßen Knopf sehr. Altersgemäß liebt er es, alles auszuprobieren, was jungen Katzen so einfällt: jagen, spielen, Wasserspiele, auch die Medienwelt hat es ihm angetan. Fernsehen und Katzenfilme auf dem Handy scrollen, steht auch auf seinem Programm. Ich wünsche mir für Pino eine Familie mit viel Zeit, Katzenerfahrung und Freude am Zusammenleben mit einem klugen und besonderen Kater. Verantwortungsbewusste Kinder ab 10 Jahre wären für Pino genauso gute Gefährten wie ein entspannter Artgenosse oder ein katzenerprobter, entspannter Hund.
