Rubi is a sweet, medium-sized dog who came to Italy from Ukraine in search of a better future. During veterinary checks, she tested positive for heartworm, but this is not a death sentence—this disease is treatable, and Rubi deserves the chance to live a full and happy life just like any other dog. She has a wonderful personality: affectionate, gentle, and always eager for human company. On walks, she’s excellent—she calmly walks on a leash and makes for a delightful companion with whom to spend time. She gets along well with both other dogs and cats, a trait that makes her an ideal fit for a family that already has other pets. Rubi is simply waiting for someone who can look beyond a diagnosis and choose to give her what she desires more than anything else: a home, lots of love, and a second chance at life.

Rubi è una dolcissima cagnolina di taglia media contenuta, arrivata in Italia dall’Ucraina in cerca di un futuro migliore. Durante i controlli veterinari è risultata positiva alla filaria, ma questa non è una condanna: la malattia può essere trattata e Rubi merita la possibilità di vivere una vita piena e felice come qualsiasi altro cane. È una cagnolina dal carattere meraviglioso: affettuosa, dolce e sempre alla ricerca del contatto con le persone. In passeggiata è bravissima, cammina con tranquillità al guinzaglio ed è una compagna piacevole con cui condividere il tempo. Va d’accordo sia con gli altri cani che con i gatti, caratteristica che la rende adatta anche a una famiglia dove sono già presenti altri animali. Rubi aspetta solo qualcuno che sappia guardare oltre una diagnosi e scelga di regalarle ciò che desidera più di ogni altra cosa: una casa, tanto amore e una seconda possibilità.
