Sara er en mellemstørrelse krydsning født december 2021. Sara kom ind til os fra Rumænien, da hun var et år gammel, fordi hende plejefamilie der flyttede til Storbritannien og havde bekymringer for hendes fremtid. Sara er en rolig og følelsesfuld pige, der kan være lidt bange for nye mennesker. Hun bliver hurtigt ven med familien og er en kærlig og venlig pige. Sara blander sig godt med andre hunde, men kan også leve som en alene hund. Hun vil have en voksen familie, fordi hun kan være nervøs ved spil og leg. Sara kan være reaktiv over for andre hunde på gennempromen, men KUN hvis en otteform led ikke bruges i tilfældet sammen med hendes slip-led. Denne kombination eliminerer alle reaktioner, og hun går smukt. Sara har brug for et roligt og stille hjem, fordi hun kan være meget nervøs omkring besøgende i hjemmet. Hun er en elskværdig og sød pige til sin familie, men har været i vores omsorg i tre år nu uden offert til et hjem. Sara fostrede Norwich Norfolk. Hvis du er interesseret, skriv eller ring mellem kl. 9-17 mandag-fredag eller kl. 9-16 lørdag. Adoptionsdonationsgebyrer fra 1. dec. 2025: Piger allerede kastrerede og alle voksne hunde: £430. Adoptionsbetingelser Når du adopterer en hund fra Safe Rescue, skal du ANVENDE en slip-led. Det vil sikre din hund's sikkerhed: din nye hund vil være nervøs og ikke stole på dig, og du vil ikke vide hvilke situationer der kan irrite på din hund. Hvis din hund panikker, så er slip-led det eneste middel til at forhindre din hund fra at flygte (mange hunde kan flygte fra et halsbånd og/eller halskæde). Det tager AT MINDST 3-6 måneder for din hund at sætte sig ind og for dig at kende din hund fuldt ud (længere for nervøse hunde). Slip-ledet skal ALTID anvendes under denne indpasningsperiode. Selv efter din hund er indpasset, er det mest sikert at bruge slip-ledet i situationer, hvor din hund kan blive bange (fx besøg på nye steder, omkring ukendte mennesker, hos dyrlægen), og i situationer, hvor uforudsete trigger kan opstå (fx omkring bonfire-nat). Nervøse hunde skal altid have en slip-led som back-up sikkerhedsforanstaltning. Slip-ledet er en sikkerhedsgod og må ALDRIG bruges som træningsværktøj. At anvende ledet for at give tryk på hundens hals er skadeligt. Hvis din hund trækker i ledet, kan vi anbefale dig træningsmetoder, der undgår skade. Når din hund er indpasset, kan du overveje at bruge en halskæde (tillsammen med slip-ledet), hvis din hund er komfortabel med at blive håndteret, når den er påsat. De fleste halskæder er ikke flugtudsatte, men halskæder med en belastningsstang bag ribben (fx Ruffwear Webmaster eller Perfect Fit Halskæder) er mere sikre. Retractable / udvidelige led må aldrig bruges på vores hunde. Adopterede hunde skal hentes fra omsorgen og transporteres direkte hjem i en sikker metalboks. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate. Fences and gates must be 5foot minimum in height and secure.

Sara is a medium sized crossbreed born December 2021. Sara has came into our care from Romania at a year old as her carer there was moving to the UK and she was worried for her future. Sara is a placid and sensitive girl who can be a little cautious of new people. She quickly warms up to family though and is an affectionate and friendly girl. Sara mixes well with other dogs but could also live as an only dog. She would need an adult family as she can be anxious around playful behaviour. Sara can be reactive to other dogs on walks but ONLY if a figure of eight lead is not used in addition to her slip lead. This combination eliminates all reactivity and she walks beautifully. Sara needs a calm and quiet home environment as she can be very anxious around visitors to the home. She is such a loving and sweet girl to her family but has spent three years in our care now with no offers of a home. Sara fostered Norwich Norfolk.
